KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
"I'll get it" Theo says. It's the next day and I am currently eating my delicious toasted butter bread. Mmm delicious.
"Victoria? What brings you here?" I hear Theo ask and I stop chewing and turn around in my chair.
"I believe Scarlett is with you? Asher wasn't home" She says.
"Yes she is, come in" Theo says and Victoria steps into the house. My mouth was still filled with food it in and I think I look like a balloon right now.
"Uh hi" she smiles at me.
"hi" I say while my mouth was full of food. I hope she heard me.
"A-Are you free to talk?" She asks
I gulp my food down my throat. " yeah, we can talk in my room" I nod and wipe my hands on my dress before showing her to my room. We silently walk up the stairs and when we reached my room, I opened the door.
"Please sit" I gesture my hand to my bed
"Oh thanks" she sits on the bed. I close the door behind me and sat beside her making the bed bounce a little. "So how are you?" I smile
"O-oh I have been alright. How about you?" She asks
"Oh I've been well" I laugh softly. "All thanks to Theo"
"I see" she nods. "That's good to hear"
"So what did you wanted to talk about?" I stretch my legs out and started to fiddle my toes together.
"Oh well, I just wanted to ask this personally form you"
"Oh okay" I say as I look at her.
"Who are you" She asks and I breathe in deeply. "I'm" I pause. "Well you know me already as the princess"
"Yes but why are you here?" She frowns and seems to be deep in thought.
"I" I pause again and bite my lip. There was a few minutes of silence before I decided to speak. " I left home because I was tired of being stuck there." I say as I look down. "I was never allowed outside and I was curious to see what the world outside was like"
"But how can that make me trust you?" She says and I look at her.
"No Victoria" I shake my head. "What I'm saying is true and even if that does not make you believe me, it does hurt but at least I experienced what it feels to have friends." I smile.
"What do you mean?" She tilts her head. "You- you never had friends before?"
"Um no" I laugh nervously. "I know being a Royal, means to be well liked and popular and basically everything but, in reality, It isn't like that" I say and start to fiddle my my fingers.
"I don't have everything, in terms of a social life""So, you stayed in the palace all day?"
"yes and probably my whole life"
"Oh but why?"
"It's just the rules" I shrug
"Rules? But everyone has to go out?" She says
"It's because I'm a girl" I say simply without looking at her.
"But I'm also a girl and I get to-
"It's different" I sigh. "I'm a princess and we are taught to stay quiet and do what we are told, but you, you and everyone here are so free" I take a breath. "But I also learned that everyone here aren't that free in the sense of loosing someone dear to them"
