Jack Gilinskys POV

"Hey, I'm back." I said to the guys.

"Uh.. Hey." Collin said, not looking up from his phone.

I walked over to Collin and sat down. He looked nervous for some reason.

"So... You know?" I asked, whispering.

"Know what?" Collin replied, even more nervous than before.

"That I'm kinda starting to like JuJu." I said, quietly so the other guys didn't hear.

"Yeah... I kinda figured." He said smirking, putting his phone away.

"Should I tell Johnson and Sammy?" I asked.

"Well yeah. We're all your best friends." Collin said. I nodded and looked towards the boys then, stood up.

"Guys... I have to tell you something." I said, playing with my hands, nervously.

I was nervous about what they'd think. Would they laugh? Would they think it was a mistake for liking her? I don't know.

They looked up when they heard me.

"I-I think... I think I'm starting to like Julia." I said.

"We all like Julia. She's really nice once you get to know her." Sam said.

"No, no. I don't like her how you like her. I think... I like her.... more than a friend." I said, sighing in between some words.

Johnson and Sammy had wide eyes. They were in shock.

"Dang, man. What are you gonna do? Whenever you like a girl, you get really desperate." Johnson said, putting his chin in the palm of his hands and resting his elbows on his knees.

"I don't know. That's why I had to tell you guys. It's been killing me."

"Why can't you just tell her?" Sam asked.

That's the dumbest question he's ever asked. And he's asked a lot of dumb questions.

"Seriously Sam? He didn't tell her because she might not feel the same way. She hasn't even forgiven him yet, dumbass." Collin said, annoyed of Sam's stupidity.

"Oh, right." Sam said. Sometimes he can be really dumb but, he's a cool guy to hang out with.

"I don't know what to do. Should I just wait til she forgives me to tell her?" I asked sitting down with my head in my hands.

"I think you should wait a little after she forgives you." Johnson said.

"Okay. I will." I said.

I wonder how long that'll be.

(Saturday)

It's finally Saturday. The day of Johnson's party. Hopefully, JuJu will show up and I can get to know her better.

About 15 minutes after the party started, the house was packed with a bunch of people drinking and dancing.

I stood by the door waiting for Collin and Julia.

About 5 minutes later, they finally walked in.

"Oh. Hey." I said nervously, standing up from the couch I was sitting on.

She smiled a small smile, "Hi." She crossed her hands in front of her. She looked so innocent and nice. How could I ever treat her like she didn't matter? I'm disappointed in myself for what feels like the billionth time.

"Do you want me to get you a drink?" Collin asked Julia.

Before she could answer, Sam interrupted. "She's obviously not gonna drink Collin. She's too innocent to do such a thing."

What the heck is he doing? This isn't part of the plan.

I looked at Julia and she had both her eyebrows raised. She crossed her arms in front of her chest. She looked pissed. "Actually, ya know what? I will have a drink, thank you Collin." She said with a grin plastered on her face.

What is she doing...? She shouldn't be drinking!

"Umm... I don't think you should drink." I said, worried for her health.

"I can make my own decisions, Jack." She said sassily.

I raised my hands up in surrender. "Okay. Sorry." I said and then walked towards the kitchen to get a snack.

I looked up and saw Matt walk in through the door.

I clenched my jaw at the sight of him.

I walked towards Johnson, grabbed his arm and then slapped him. "Why did you invite Matt!?"

Johnson held his cheek. "One. Owwww. And two. She doesn't have many friends because of us. I told her she could invite anybody she wanted."

I slapped him again. "Dude! He's gonna look after her and probably make a move on her! You know I like her! Gosh!" I said, then, put my hands on my forehead in distress.

"Sorry, man. Let's just go with the plan for her to forgive you. I'll just distract Matt."

I nodded and walked back towards Julia and Collin. I started chatting with them for a little and I saw Matt walking this way.

He was close to talking to us but Johnson walked in front of him and stalled.

I kept talking to Collin. Julia wasn't talking as much. I think she was drunk just after 2 drinks.

Must've been her first time drinking because she slurred her words and kept repeating, "This drink is so good. Is there more?"

I looked at Collin, not knowing what to do.

"Maybe you should go lay down." I said to Julia, helping her up and carrying her up the stairs to Johnson's guest room.

I layed her down on the bed then, left the room to go down to the kitchen, to go get her some water.

Matt walked up to me. "Where's JuJu?" He asked.

"She's laying down for a little bit. She kinda drank too much. But don't worry I'm taking care of her. It's getting late, if you wanna go you can. I can take care of Julia." I said.

He nodded, "Thanks man. Don't do anything to her or I'll kill you." He said and then walked away.

Yeah right like he could beat ME up.

I laughed a little to myself and then walked back up to Johnson's room seeing Julia sound asleep.

"Julia. Wake up. I got you some water." I said in a quiet voice, shaking her.

"Huh? Mmmm. Okay." She said and grabbed the cup of water out of my hands. She drank the water and then layed back down.

I walked up and was about to leave to go find Johnson, when she called my name.

"Jack?" She said.

"Yeah?" I responded.

"Can you...."
