JuJu's POV

Class was over and I tried my best to avoid Jack G. I sprint-walked (if that's what you call it) out of the classroom, but Jack still managed to catch me.

"Hey, can we talk after school, it's important," he said, rubbing the back of his neck like he always does.

"I'm sorry, Jack, but I said I needed to be alone today," I said, trying to move past him, towards my next class.

I walked into my history class, spotting Matt smiling at me. Even though I forgave him, it was hard for me to return a smile back. I looked away from his eyes and sat down far away from him and everybody else, taking the back right corner seat. When I said I needed to be alone, I meant it.

"Are you okay? I thought we were good," Matt said, standing above me.

"Yeah, I'm fine, I just... It's gonna take me a little longer to get back to a normal friendship with you," I said, trying to avoid contact, knowing that I would cry if I did peer at his eyes. Not just because he hurt me, but because I have a lot going on right now and him coming up to me just adds to the bad mixture.

"Okay. I'll give you your space," he said, backing away, taking a seat at his desk.

After that my emotions were all over the place and I felt a tear from my eye, so I left before class could even start. I grabbed my backpack and sprinted out of the room before the teacher got to class. I don't know where I'm gonna go, but I can't go home because then my dad will know I skipped.

I was just about to open the school doors when I heard footsteps stomp behind me, and lightly grab my wrist.

"Hey, where are you going?" Calum asked, with a confused look on his face. Once I turned around and he saw the tears falling down my eyes, his face turned into a worried expression.

"Hey," he said grabbing my chin to make me look at him, " what happened?"

"It's nothing. It's stupid. I have to go." I said, barely able to let a word escape from my mouth.

"I can drive you." He offered.

I turned my head thinking about it. I need someone to talk to about this.

"Yeah, I'd like that." I said, thanking him.

We walked out the doors, towards his black jeep.

I stepped in the jeep and put on my seatbelt when he asked, " Where am I taking you?"

"Umm... I don't know really." I said.

He patted his steering wheel, scrunching his eyebrows, thinking.

"Ooh, how about we go to the cafe not far from here." He suggested.

"Sure why not." I said, still having trouble speaking from all the emotions running through my head.

With that we drove off.

"So... You gonna tell me what happened?" He asked, curious.

I sighed, "Well... It's a long story." I said fiddling with my fingers.

"I've got time." He said focusing on the road.
