JuJus POV
{Wednesday}
I'm at my house, resting on my bed for a little bit, until Jack gets here. I lay there for a couple of minutes until I hear a buzzing sound on my top drawer.
I open up my drawer and grab my phone.
It's a text from Jack. He's five minutes away.
I go to the bathroom to see if I look okay. I make sure my mascara isn't messed up and I apply a light brown eye shadow. It's a little bit darker than my skin color but its not too dark and it makes my blue eyes pop.
I want to look good for Jack because I need to ask him why he's been avoiding me.
He hasn't been talking to me at school at all. I thought we were friends. I thought he wanted to be my friend.
Now, I don't know.
I was stuck in my own thoughts for a while until I heard the doorbell ring.
I walked downstairs and opened the door.
Jack was standing outside the door wearing a "Vans" t-shirt and khakis. He was also wearing Nike tennis shoes and 4 thin bracelets on his right wrist. Lastly, he had black sunglasses on, to block the sun from shining on his brown eyes.
"Hurry, I have somewhere to be." He said, coldly.
"Uh, okay." I said, awkwardly.
I grabbed my backpack and keys then, locked the door.
When I turned around he was already walking to his car.
Okay then. I thought in my head.
I walked to his car and climbed in the passengers seat.
---------
We arrived at his house and were in his living room. He had a soft brown couch that was shaped like an 'L' and another brown couch- that was a bit smaller- in the middle of his 'L' shaped couch.
All we had to do was take pictures of our crystal rock candy results and then we would be done.
He took off his sunglasses so he could see the pictures better.
"The candy looks good." I finally spoke up after long a period of silence.
"Yeah." He said, still taking pictures of some, not even glancing my way.
He was acting different.
Mean.
And mysterious.
He's been really mean and I don't know why which is what makes him mysterious.
It's not the same way he was acting when he bullied me.
It was different.
Before, he did it to hide the sadness and pain he was feeling.
But, now, his emotions aren't showing and it's harder to see what changed him.
We are friends now so, I should be able to speak to him without being uncomfortable or afraid.
Here goes.
"Are you okay?" I asked, worried.
"Yeah, fine." He said, finally turning around but still not looking at me.
I started to get frustrated. "Then why are you acting like this?" I yelled.
He rolled his eyes, ignoring my question.
