JuJu's POV
I walked into math class followed by Collin. I turned around in my desk to talk to him because I still don't know anyone else in this class.
At least, I didn't know anyone else until a tall blonde walked in.
Alison.
"I didn't know she was in our class." I said, staring at her as she walked up to the teacher and gave her a paper.
"Who? Alison? Yeah, she just moved here and apparently she was like Einstein back in her old school. She's really smart in the math academy." Collin replied.
"How do you know all of this?" I asked.
"Matt told me."
"Matt? How'd Matt know?" I asked, curiously feeling a bit jealous.
"The principal told Matt to show her around this morning and he was asking questions to be polite and I guess he probably didn't want it to be awkward the whole tour." Collin said.
What? He showed her around? How come he never told me about this? I decided to just let it go and talk to him about it later.
"Oh okay, cool." I said, about to turn around in my seat till Collin brought up something that made me freeze on the spot.
"Yeah. So, um... you were pretty quiet when Gilinsky and Alison joined us at lunch." Is what he said.
My eyes were wide and I didn't know what to say. What am I supposed to say? I don't really know why I wasn't contributing into the conversations at lunch today.
"Yeah... Uh... I was just really hungry." I lied.
"Really?" He asked, not buying the lie, yet I nodded trying to convince him.
"Because you didn't eat much of your food when they arrived in the lunch room either." He said, suspiciously.
"What are you, a detective or something?" I said, getting annoyed that he kept bringing Gilinsky and Alison up.
I closed my eyes and tried to calm myself down before I spoke again. Once I was finally calm, I looked back at Collin and talked again.
"I'm sorry, I guess I'm just not in the mood right now." I said, this time, truthfully.
"It's okay, but if you don't mind me asking, why weren't you talking or eating at lunch? Is there something wrong? If there is, I'm here for you, whenever." Collin said, supportively.
Wow, I never realized how much him and Johnson are alike. They're both so supportive and kind, I would have never believed myself if I said that they were once my bullies.
"Thank you so much but honestly, I'm fine. I'm just not feeling well." I lied, again, trying to convince him.
"Are you sure? Because you seemed sort of... jealous." He said, and again, I froze in my spot, eyes widening.
"Wh-What? Jealous? Of what? I was not jealous. Wh-Why would you think that?" I stuttered, nervously.
"Wow. Now I know you were definitely jealous of Alison being with Gilinsky." He said.
"I was not." I said, sternly.
"Was too." He argues.
"Okay. You know what? I'm not going to discuss this. I'm not jealous of Alison or anybody for that matter, so drop it." I said, angrily.
"Okay." He said, putting both his hands up in surrender.
"Thank you." I respond, turning around in my desk. But, right when I thought the conversation was over, he starts it again.
