JuJu's POV

I'm in AP calculus and this was one of my favorite classes because none of my bullies are in it except for Collin Harrison but we made up so I don't know if he'll still bully me or not. Let's just find out.

The bell rung and class just began. Collin walked in, I looked at him and he smiled at me.

Maybe he did mean it. Maybe he does want to be friends. Whatever, I can't get my hopes up.

"Class, it's a new month so that means new seats! Grab your books and backpacks and stand in the front of the class." Mrs. Enderson said.

I grabbed my books and headed to the front of the class.

Surprisingly, Collin grabbed his backpack and stood next to me. What's he doing? He's popular, he should be with his friends on the other side of the class. Away from me.

"Hey." He whispered.

"Um.. Hi. Don't you want to stand by your friends... Ya know over there?" I asked pointing to them.

He turned his head and then shook his head, "They can live without me. Plus, I am standing by one of my friends. You. Remember? You said you'd give me a chance." He said.

"Right, but I thought you were just saying that because you felt bad, I didn't think you actually meant it." I said, while the teacher was calling out names and putting students to a desk.

"No, I meant it. I want us to be friends." He said looking straight at me.

I didn't look back at him, I just kept my eyes focused on the teacher and where the spots were.

"Please, look at me." He pleaded.

I turned to look at him. "What?" I asked, getting annoyed.

"Let me prove to you that I meant what I said. Give me a chance to be your actual friend." I looked up at his eyes.

"Please." He begged.

"Okay, fine. But if you mess it up, I'm never speaking to you ever again." I said.

"Yes! Thank you so much! I won't." He said, turning his head away with a bright smile on his face. It was kinda cute actually.

"Collin H, you sit here. In front of Collin will be.. Julia.." I sat down in front of Collin while, she continued the seating arrangements.

Once she was done, she gave us notes, a short 20-25 minute lesson on how to do it, and then, the rest of the class was work day.

I turned my head just a little to talk to Collin, but I didn't want to get in trouble so I talked quietly.

"Hey, Collin. I have a quick question. Don't worry it has nothing to do with the homework." I said.

"Okay, yeah what is it?" He asked and leaned closer to me so he could hear what I was saying. He was really close to me, so close to the point where it looked like we were gonna kiss but, I didn't like him that way.

"If you're not going to bully me anymore... Why were you and all of your friends staring at me in lunch?" I asked.

Before he answered, I continued, "Because I feel like you guys are making like a plan to get back at me for not forgiving Gilinsky." I said and then stopped, waiting for his answer.

"No, nothing like that. Johnson asked what was wrong with Jack and so, Jack was telling us about how you didn't forgive him and then, Sam said that you didn't forgive him either so, we just looked at you because Jack turned to look at you for some unknown reason." He said.

"Oh okay. Thanks." I said, even though I feel like that's not the whole story, I just let it go.

Collin's POV

Im really happy that she forgave me and that she's giving me a chance. Not only because I want to be her friend but, also because I want to convince her to forgive Jack. He's a wreck without her forgiveness. I wonder why he cares so much.

When she asked me about why we were staring at her I told her why but I didn't tell her all of it because I can't, or else she'll think I'm using her just so she can forgive Jack and then she'll think I'll just leave her.

But I wanna get to know her so, what should I do? A lightbulb popped in my head. I know what to do to get closer to her! It's a perfect idea.

I tapped on her shoulder and she turned around.

"Hey, there's a party at Johnson's on Saturday. Do you wanna go with me? Like ya know as friends nothing more!" I said, making it clear.

"Umm.. Sure I don't think I have any plans." She said with a smile.

"Great. I'll pick you up at 7." I smiled back.

This is gonna be perfect. I'm gonna be with her and ask her stuff and if she tells me more about her then, I'll know she trusts me. Then, once she does trust me I'll try to bring up Jack and try to convince her to forgive him but, I don't want to make it obvious so I have to be careful with my words.

I looked around to make sure the teacher wasn't looking, then, I took out my phone. I opened up my messages and texted Jack.

Hey, guess who's coming to the party with me on Saturday?

He took about a minute to reply back.

Who? He asked.

JuJu. But we're only going as friends. I responded.

Why are you bringing her? Does she know I'll be there? She hates me. He replied faster than before.

So? She hates Sam and he's going. I'll tell you why I'm bringing her once class is over.

Okay. He responded.

I put my phone back in my pocket and finished the rest of my homework until class ended.

Class was finally over and I was heading towards Jacks locker to tell him the plan.

He smiled so bright it was unbelievable. I think he might like JuJu. Maybe I should ask him today after school.

But other than that, I just can't wait til Saturday. Hopefully, we'll be better friends and she will try to forgive Jack.

Now it's time for last hour, with Johnson. I'm going to English and Jacks heading to physics. With JuJu.

I hope he can handle being in there with her without feeling ashamed or without crying.

I haven't seen him cry since the 8th grade.

Looks like I'll just have to wait til after school for him to tell me what happens.
