"Are we going to tell them?" I asked as we stepped onto the porch.
"Do you want to?" that Irish accent questioned
"I don't know."
"Let's keep it a secret. I'm pretty sure it's not going to last long anyway."
"In that case," I started as I wriggled my hand out of his, "I can't hold your hand," I teased. He just pouted at this and I playfully slapped his face.
I opened the door and Niall followed me in, closing it behind him.
"What took you guys so long?" Harry asked as soon as he saw us.
I'm surprised that they weren't spying on us behind the bushes.
I didn't know how to reply, but thankfully, Niall spoke.
"I was hungry."
Wow.
"Well, dinners ready now, and we were just waiting for you guys. So lets goooo."
-
At dinner, Niall and I were almost avoiding each other again like the passed two days. He'd look up every now and then and give me a glance which I'd return. I think this will be fun, hiding it from the others. But I don't think our secret will last long.
After showering and getting dressed into our pajamas, we went to the boys' room for out late night chats.
The last two nights were boring as hell and it felt good to be back. Niall and I started off faking the ignorance, but soon, we were back to being friends. At least in the eyes of the other five we were.
The lights were dimmed and I laid down between Niall and Louis. I was half talking to Louis, and half talking to Niall. That way, it wouldn't be obvious that I was staying with the boys tonight because of Niall.
"So, you and Niall are on speaking terms again?" Louis queried. I really didn't know how to answer this.
"Uhh, what do you mean?"
"Don't lie to me, Mads. We all know that something happened between you two, and you guys were ignoring each other. Now, you guys are talking again," he explained.
"I wasn't ignoring Niall and I don't know what you're talking about..." I lied.
"Whatever you say then..." he said with a little annoyance in his tone as he turned around to talk to Zayn. This secret definitely wasn't going to last long.
"Louis's on to us," I whispered to Niall.
Even in this dark light, I had to stop myself from staring into his eyes.
"I think they all are. I mean, we were ignoring each other, and now we're back to normal. You don't have to be a genius to know that something happened," he whispered back.
"This secret isn't going to last long."
"I know," he whispered into me ear, his hot breath against my skin, making me shiver.
The lights went off and everyone exchanged their night's and started going to sleep. Except for us.
"We don't have to hide here," he whispered into my ear. Even though everyone was sleeping or about to fall asleep, I'm pretty sure they all heard what he just said as it was dead silent.
"Shh," I whispered back.
He leaned in closer and pressed his warm and soft lips against mine. A thousand butterflies were doing somersaults in my stomach as this happened. He then pulled me in closer and I turned onto my other side. His arm was wrapped around me and our bodies were pressed together. He pressed a long, gentle kiss on my neck, right on my soft spot, making me shiver throughout my whole body.
"Night," he whispered into my ear.
"Night," I whispered back.
I don't know how we were going to hide this, even though it just started. It has been a while since someone has had these feelings towards me and I guess I was craving it. Maybe, I don't even want it to be a secret, so we don't have to be away from everyone or in the dark to show affection to each other, but at the same time, I only want this between me and Niall. Nonetheless, this newborn relationship is something I am looking forward to.
I snuggled myself into Niall's body and drifted asleep in his arms.
