"You are so lucky that I got off the hook with Katie," I said in a stern voice to Alice.
"You should be thankful. I know you, Maddy, and I know that you're glad you got pulled away from that dinner," she retorted in a cheeky tone.
"What do you mean?" I fired back at her.
"I know you had a good time with the boys. You just don't want to admit it."
Okay. Maybe that's a little true, but I still wasn't glad I left the dinner.
"Yeah, whatever," I replied in a slightly blunt tone.
The rest of the car ride to the restaurant to meet the boys was in silence. The dinner conversations were mainly about their careers which I zoned out of every now and then. Their plans were to come over tomorrow to start writing. My dad has his own mini recording booth at home, it's in the highest point of the house and it's quite cute really.
I texted Katie to come over tomorrow to meet the boys, but she replied saying she had plans and she'd text me saying when she was free. It was a bit different of her to reply like that, to say, "I'll tell you when I'm free," instead of, "we'll reschedule," or something. It was like she wanted to avoid me, but I just shrugged it off.

"MADDY!" Louis exclaimed as I opened the door.
"Louis!" I said, trying to be as enthusiastic as he was as he pulled me into a bone crushing hug.
The rest of the boys came in greeting me giving me a hug. Niall was last to come in. He pulled me into a hug and I literally melted then and there. His touch was electrifying. I had realised that the other boys were staring as we were still clung each other and I just awkwardly pulled away and I could feel my cheeks heat up.
"Um, my dad's upstairs with Alice right now. I'll show you guys to the studio," I said as I headed upstairs leadng the way. I walked passed all our bedrooms and continued walking up another flight of stairs to the third level. I walked into the open room that was specifically designed for my parents' work. Light timber flooring, crisp white walls with several canvases and open windows. The boys had puzzled looks on their faces as they laid their eyes on sewing machines and large white tables.
"This level's for mum and dad. Mum's a fashion designer so this is her workspace," I explained, "the studio's in there," I continued speaking, pointing to the glass panel frame thing on the wall that looked into the studio.
"Oh. Okay. Thanks," Liam replied.
"I guess we'll see you in a bit?" Zayn questioned.
"Yeah. See you guys in a bit," I replied as they walked into the mini studio.

I helped mum with her work for the next hour or so. She said it would be good practise for me, since I'm studying fashion design at college when I start in a few weeks.
While mum was making lunch for us all, I plonked myself onto the sofa and turned on the tv. Flicking through the channels, I found nothing really interesting to watch. I slid out my phone and checked my twitter. Nothing really caught my eye, until I saw a photo of me, Alice, Harry and Liam at Nando's. Zayn, Louis and Niall had their backs towards the camera. The heading read, "Friends With Benefits?"
Wow. Rumors.

As soon as we all finished our lunch and stood up from the dining table, Louis just broke out into Nicki Minaj's Starships.
"Lets go to the be-each, lets go get a wave. They say, what they gonna say. Have a -"
"Shut up Lou! It's bloody winter! We're not going to the beach!" Zayn snapped, cutting Louis off.
