Tonight was mine and Alice's present to Harry; his birthday dinner. They were in the studio for the day and Alice insisted that we go shopping for something to wear tonight.
"I think this one would look good on you," my sister said as she pulled out a royal blue dress. I liked it, it was plain and simple.
"Would you like me to put them in the change rooms for you, miss?" the worker asked Alice.
"Yes, thanks," she replied with a smile.
I continued looking for more dresses. They were all pretty pricy. I scanned the rack and laid my eyes on a creamy pastel pink coloured dress. I held the dress out in front of me and examined it. It was a floral lace top and from the waist, it flowed down in the same colour. It was beautiful. I looked at the price tag; quite a few digits. I have the money, but I've never brought anything this expensive. I drew in a light sigh as I placed it back on the rack.
"Hey, that's a nice dress. Try it," my sister encouraged as she walked over to me.
"Yeah, but it's expensive," I replied quietly when she was next to me.
"So? Try it on for the fun of it. You don't have to buy it."
I rolled my eyes with a slight smile as she took out the dress and handed it to the the worker.
I continued looking along the rack and pulled out another dress. A white strapless dress with a silver sequined and sparkly bodice, flowing down in a nice clean white colour.
"Try it," my sister encouraged again.
I waved the price tag in her face and put the dress back.
"Just try it," she pleaded as she handed the dress to the worker.
"Fine."
We walked to the change rooms and tried on our dresses. I tried on the blue one that Alice had chosen for me. I stared at my reflection in the mirror and the dress looked nice on me.
"Come out," my sister instructed. I followed her commands and opened curtain. I stepped out and laid my eyes on my sister who was wearing a pastel pink dress. She looked like a goddess.
"You look stunning," I complimented her.
"As do you. That dress looks really good on you. You need to buy it."
I looked at my reflection on the mirror down the hall of the change rooms. I really liked the dress.
"We'll see," I said as I walked back into my change room and closed the curtain. I carefully stripped off the dress and slipped on the floral one. I looked at my reflection and I actually looked decent for once. I looked pretty, happy even.
I stepped out of the change room to show Alice who was now wearing a light blue dress. She looked like an angel, she was just too amazing.
"You look perfect," she complimented. I didn't believe her. Perfect is such a big word with such big shoes to fill. No one is perfect but at the same time, everyone is perfect the way they are. "Niall would love that dress."
I rolled my eyes at her comment.
"You," I started, "look beautiful. Buy it."
"I really like it," she said as she looked at her reflection with a smile.
"Buy both of them."
She turned around to face me and looked straight into my eyes.
"If you at least buy the blue one, coz this one and the other ones way too expensive."
