I woke up after an uninterrupted 8 hour sleep. I looked at the time, 11:54. Great, there goes half my day. The boys must be working, since Alice didn't pound on my door this morning, thankfully. I got out of bed, took a shower, brushed my teeth and got changed.
I headed downstairs to the kitchen and collided with Niall who had a glass of water in his hand.
"Hey," I greeted him.
"Morning. Oh wait, afternoon," he teased with a cheeky smile.
"Oh, shut up," I snapped back as a joke, punching his arm playfully.
"The lads were wondering if you'd wanna go for a walk on the beach after dinner?"
"Ah, yeah, sure," I replied, flashing him a small smile which he returned.
"Okay. Well, I've got to go back to the studio, but I'll see you later, yeah?" I don't think I'll ever get over that accent of his.
"Yeah. See ya."
And he headed upstairs back to the studio.
I didn't even know why I was in the kitchen. I just sorta stood there for a while, blanking out, staring at the wall.
"What was that all about?" my mum asked, almost making me jump.
Wow, I hadn't even noticed that she was there the whole time, sipping on her cup of tea.
"What was what all about?"
"You and Niall," she replied, raising her eyebrows a bit.
"Nothing's going on," I responded with a blank expression on my face. I could feel my cheeks burning up.
"Ha. Okay Maddy. Whatever you say..."

"Lets go for lunch tomorrow," she spoke as soon as I answered her call, "I'll pick you up at twelve?"
The boys were working in the studio again tomorrow so I guess I was free.
"Ah, sure. Why so sudden?"
"It's to make up for my birthday," she replied in a tone that sounded like I had asked the most stupid question.
"But I thought you wanted to meet the boys?"
"Nah. Screw that. So I'll pick you up at twelve?"
"Okay."
"Great. See ya."
"Bye..." I trailed off and the line was cut off.
Why didn't she want to meet the boys? They're nice lads, and she seemed so excited when I told her a few days ago. Oh well.

Darks clouds filled the night sky and waves were crashing onto the shore. Great weather yeah?
I swear they purposely do that. We start of walking in a line, and we end up in rows. And I'm always with Niall. Harry and Zayn would walk in front of us, quickening their pace a bit, and then Alice, Louis and Liam would walk in front of me and Niall behind Harry and Zayn.
We walked in a comfortable silence and I hadn't even realised that the others were at least twenty metres ahead of us until he spoke.
"What are your plans for tomorrow?" the Irish accent spoke, sending shivers down my spine.
"Um, I'm going out for lunch with Katie, but then I'll be back. Why are you asking?"
"We have half the day off tomorrow, so we'll probably get together or something."
