Forgetful

Sunday

That dream has still been on my mind. It's not normal for me to have the same dream as Liam. What also has been on my mind is Harry and Katie. I wonder how he is. I hope he's safe and that they're actually happy together. The big thing on my mind is Katie's dad following me and how the door unlocked. It's really making me feel unsafe, and especially when Niall or any of the other boys aren't here, I feel worse.

I fiddled with my sheets as I lost myself in my deep thoughts. I suddenly snapped out of them, as I realised they weren't good for me. Over-thinking is never good. Instead, I hopped up and grabbed the photo album. I looked at the cover. It had my name that I wrote in a pastel pink thick marker and then Niall's name that he wrote in baby blue. At the bottom of it was the date we had got together.

I flicked it open to a random page and laid my eyes on the photo of me and Niall on my birthday. It really was a birthday to remember. I looked at myself, all happy and smiley. I looked at my chest and I could see the necklace that he had given me that day. I ran my finger across my collar just to make sure it was there. I held the heart in between my two fingers, feeling the coldness of it. I looked up and smiled even more as I laid my eyes in the big teddy bear sitting on my chair; the one he had won for me on our first date. So many small things that hold such great value. It's amazing how just looking at a photo can make you forget about all the bad.

I heard the doorbell sound from downstairs and it echoed through the whole house. I was confused as to who it could be. They would've had to call through the front first, unless they knew the pass code. I stayed still on my bed with the album on my lap and after a few seconds, it sounded again.

"Maddy, open the door," my dad yelled from upstairs, startling me a bit.

I closed the photo album, dropped my necklace back onto my neck and followed his instructions. I walked downstairs and went to the door. I slowly turned it open, being afraid of who it was, but drew in a deep sigh in relief as soon as I saw a fraction of his face.

"What are you doing here?" I exclaimed as I fully swung the door open and hugged him. We both let go of each other and he smiled and looked down and then back up, revealing his mesmerizing blue eyes.

"Happy one month anniversary," he told me.

I literally froze with my jaw to the ground. I'm literally the worst girlfriend.

"Oh my god," was all I said.

He walked in and I moved aside as I shut the door behind me.

"I have a tub of triple chocolate chip ice cream, a few DVDs and a few games," he told me as he handed me the ice cream. "Now, go put this in the freezer and we can eat it later."

I followed his instructions and headed to the kitchen to store the ice cream while he sat down in the lounge.

"How could I forget?" I asked him as I sat next to him sideways with my legs folded up over his. I wrapped my arms around his body and he did the same. It has been one day without him, not even, and I miss him.

"I knew you'd forget," he told me with a side smile.

"Whatever."

"So, what do you want to start off with?" he asked as he leaned down to the coffee table and spread out the different games and movies.

"I wouldn't mind beating you in Mario Kart again," I confessed.

He quirked and eyebrow at me in a cute manner.

"I let you win," he argued with a pointed look.

"Keep telling yourself that, Horan."

I stood up and picked up the Mario Kart cover. I opened it up, taking out the disk and crouched down at the front of the TV to place the disk into the Wii. I stood up and sat back onto the couch next to Niall as he turned on the TV and handed me a controller.
