It was an uncomfortable night after the outburst between Louis and Harry. The five of us decided to not bring it up, so naturally, Louis didn't. It was hard to start a conversation because the only topic to think about was the argument. Everyone knew that there was not much talking last night because of what happened. Everyone was deep into their thoughts and you could just feel them in the air.
His phone vibrated with a few texts last night, but as much as it was tempting to read them, we kept his phone faced down.
Paul kept an eye on Harry last night. Harry needed some space so I guess it was better to let him to wonder off in the streets than to capture him and take him to his apartment. I just hope he comes back soon. I don't want to lose him.
"I just called Paul. He said that Harry's okay. He's just at some random's place," my dad explained.
The truth was that the random was no random. My parents don't know what happened last night. All they know is that there was a fight. What about? They don't know. What happened last night is between the seven of us and its better we keep it that way.
"So, up to the studio," my dad ordered. "Louis, are you alright to come up?"
Six pairs of eyes moved to Louis to see what his response would be.
"I'll come up a bit later," he replied weakly.
My dad nodded slightly, showing sympathy towards Louis. They then all headed upstairs and I was alone with Louis. I looked at him. I looked at his eyes that were slightly bloodshot and the circles under his eyes. He was hurt, and you could tell that it'd take more than an apology to fix things this time.
I stood up and looked at Louis who blankly staring at the coffee table, not taking notice of my action. I headed to the kitchen and picked up the envelope that my dad told me was mine. It had my name written on it and it looked like a birthday card. I don't know who would write me a card. I was expecting anyone to. I turned to the back and slipped my thump underneath the flap. I forced my thumb through and took out the card. Not even acknowledging the cover of the card because I was too curious to see who wrote me a card, I opened the card up.
Dear Maddy,
Happy 19th birthday. May your wishes and greatest dreams come true.
I hope you haven't forgot about me. Just remember, that I'm always with you.
Love from,
Katie.
I stared at the card for a second. I'm always with you? What's that supposed to mean? Just when I thought that she left my life, she gets sucked right back in by this card. This made me think that its possible Georgie is Katie, as much as I didn't her to be. What's even worse was that my plans for today are to meet up with Georgie. This brought up even more questions. The card itself was enough. Or maybe I'm just overthinking it. I probably am, and plus, the card was received a few days ago, my mum just forgot to give it to me.
"Is everything alright?" Louis asked breaking me out of my thoughts.
"Uh.. yeah," I replied as I shakily shoved the card back into the envelope. Deciding that maybe, I don't want Katie in my life because she doesn't need me and I don't need her anymore, I threw the card into the bin without giving it another glance. Everytime I saw her, she was acting weird and I'm sick of it.
As dangerous it might be, I want to get to the bottom of this. I'm almost positive that they're not the same person and if I wasn't, then I wouldn't have gotten a lecture from Niall this morning, telling me to be careful and I wouldn't be meeting up with her in the first place. Because Niall wouldn't let me do that.
