"Snow! Can you get a me a book?"

Dream called out into the depths of the library, hearing the rumples of feathers and and the crumpling of paper.

"You silly little thing. . ."

Dream mumbled to no one in particular as he climbed down from the library's ladder walking through it.

"There you are,"

Dream huffed, seeing Snow sitting on top of the shelf, holding a rumpled piece of pale paper in it's beak.

He flicked his wrist out, smiling when Snow immediately perched itself onto his hand, gently pulling out the piece of paper.

"Thank you Snow,"

Dream complimented, getting Snow rubbing their head on Dream's cheek, the soft feathers tickling his skin.

As he walked back to his desk, he felt himself becoming lighter, almost floaty in a way?

Confusion was etched into his pale features as he looked down, definitely seeing the ground below him get farther and farther.

"Ok, whoever is doing this! Come out!"

Dream yelled, pulling the cloak closer to him for comfort.

"Hehehe. . ."

. . . was heard from behind one of the shelves, alerting that someone besides Dream was in the library.

"I'll save you Dream!"

A voice called out.

And suddenly, there was someone behind him, hauling him onto their back.

It was Sapnap.

"Sapnap! Put me down!"

Dream whined, lightly hitting the floating boy, being rudely snickered at.

"Heyyyyyyy! I was supposed to save him,"

Another voice whined, the sound of something whooshing around in the air caught his attention.

It was George, and he was on a broom.

"You made him float in the first place!"

Sapnap retorted, holding Dream protectively against his back.

"Yea! Because I'm supposed to be the knight!"
"You can't even be a servant, look at you,"

Sapnap and George continued to bicker as they made rounds around the library, Dream tuning out the talks and settling for listening to it like whitenoise.

A microscopic squawk pulled him out of his haze and he quickly looked down, seeing Snow looking up at him longingly, probably wanting some headpats.

"Snow! Come up here,"

Dream called out, holding out his arm for Snow to get on.

"Dude, come on. Snow gets attention all the timeeeeee,"

Sapnap whined, getting a squeaky 'mhm!' from George.

"Please tell me you guys aren't getting jealous over an. . . owl?"

Dream remarked, now having the small animal perched on his arm.

"We're not jealous per se, more so concerned for your obsession with keeping Snow near you, like at all times."

George explained, clearly trying to play it off as if it was nothing.

"Nope, we're jealous,"

Sapnap explained, no filter on his words.

George gasped in offense as he lightly shoved Sapnap on the shoulder, making him tumble for a second.

"Mrrp?"

Snow squeaked, slowly it's fragile beak into the small of Sapnap's neck.

"Fucking cute owl, why does it have to be like that. Couldn't you have gotten one of those old and ugly owls?"

Sapnap ranted, voice softening when he heard Snow as purr as if it was a cat instead of an owl.

"Fine, I guess it's cute,"

George grumbled, eliciting laughs from the other two.
