George and Dream had just begun dating, they were especially awkward with each other, seeing as they had never had a spouse before. So they were slow with their pace, they had been dating for a while and Dream had been wanting to take it to the next level. . .

. . hand holding.

They were walking to houses, which were across the street from each other, they were talking like normal, just with a bit of tension in the air. Not too much but just enough for them to notice it.

They had gotten side-tracked and suddenly found themselves gravitating towards each other, when they noticed this, they sputtered out responses and apologies. Once they had gotten over their embarrassing moment. They laughed it off.

It was getting late, seeing as they spent most of their time staring at each other.

Just as they were about to cross the street, to go into their neighbourhood. George felt a random heat engulf his right hand. He looked at the source and saw that it was another hand connected to. . . Dream.

George saw him smiling softly, George's face went red when the realization hit him and hid his face in the crook of his elbow. Dream only smiled softly and slightly tugged on the hand, leading him to the street

George uncovered his face and returned the smile, walking with him subtly tightening his grip when they walked across the street. When they had to separate ways and Dream was about to let go of his hand, George pulled his hand slightly

When he looked down to see George, he saw George opening his mouth to say something but closing it once again. He knew that George was a shy kid and he knew how to deal with it. He took George and pulled him into a secure hug. They would hug until George is ready to talk.

"W-Would you like t-o stay over?" George said, a little muffled.
"Yea, lemme just tell my parents"

George beamed and thanked Dream profusely as he called his parents, because he doesn't want to walk across the street. To no one's surprise, they agreed. George practically yanked Dream into his house and led him to his bedroom, ignoring the teases from his parents.

When they arrived in the room, they plopped onto the bed, tired from the school day.

"Soooo.. . " Dream started
"Soooo.. .?" George finished

"Was that ok?"
"Was what ok?""
"Hand holding. . ."
"Yea! yea. . . could you do it again?"

Dream smiled and connected their hands again, relishing the familiar warmth, they both had stupidly big grins on their face. They weren't gonna let go of each other any time soon.
