In todays age and time after Quirks first appeared 100 years ago the population skewered from being close to equal to females being 95% of the population while males being 5%. Those who are unfortunate enough to be born a male are treated worse than trash, without much chance of being able to get any high ranking jobs and are seen only useful as breeding horse by the rest of the population.
Mixed in the facts of Quirks a superpower only being able to form at the age of 4 in females led to a huge superiority complex in the female population while those without one are dubbed quirkless and are treated like trash but still better than a male.
With our MC Izuku Yagi unfortunately being part of the minority of male watch as he becomes the first male hero who stood up for the less fortunate and spite his former bullies he called family and everyone who said he could not be a hero.
