Chapter 38

Demi's POV

A week since the revelation of Josh's feelings for Serena and surprisingly everything's been good, no drama and no problems.. for once!

It's been a hectic week full of rehearsal, sound checks, meet and greets, concerts and spending time with my family, friends and my girl, Serena.

I can tell she trusts me a lot more and feels more comfortable with me and around my family and close friends. She seems more carefree and relaxed as she should because at the end of the day she's only 18 and I think her mind still hasn't caught up with how mature she acts.

"Here's your coffee," Serena said kissing my cheek and placing the coffee on the bedside table.

"Thankyou," I responded taking a long needed sip.

"I still don't get how you drink that fast," Serena commented as she has been almost all the time.

"I still don't get how you smoke that much," I retaliated and she instantly shut her mouth.

She knows how much I hate smoking in general yet she doesn't stop or at least have less, I understand her point of view that it helps her keep calm and her thoughts and mind under control but I tried to reason with her saying there are other ways but Serena being the most pig headed, stubborn person she pulled out a cigarette and blew it in my face.

"Serena please can you try and quit," I said.

"Demi, no, there is now way," she protested.

I shook my head and got up taking my coffee with me, "Im going to rehearsals," I said.

"I'll see you tonight at the concert," she smiled softly kissing my cheek as I walked out of the room in slight anger.

Seriously why can't she listen to me sometimes, I do know something about smoking and drugs and all of that shit that toxicates your body. I understand it's hard for her to quit and it helps her in a way but she should cut back but she doesn't even want to try that and it bothers me.. It bothers me a lot.

Serena's POV

I watched side stage along with Josh, Jacob, Britt, Dianna, Maddy and Max Demi rocking out and doing her thing. It never gets boring night after night watching her, it's captivating and inspiring it makes me want to do more in life but then I come back to reality and life hits me in the face just like it did when I heard Enrique's voice fill the whole room.

"I only want Serena, Jacob, Josh, Brittany and Demi to stay everybody leave or I will kill you!" His voice growled and the crowd frantically tried to escape screams and cries filled with room.

"What's going on?" Demi rushed side stage, her eyes bulging out in fright.

"Please leave and call the police but do not come in unless Brittany or Demi gives you a sign," I instructed Dianna, Maddy and whom ever else was behind stage with us.

"I can't leave my daughter here!" Dianna exclaimed.

"I promise no harm will come to her," i reassured her and unwillingly she left the building along with everybody else only leaving the ones he called out here.

"Where are you Enrique!" I called out as we walked out on to the stage.

"I've missed you," he said as he walked across from the other side of the stage, Johnny and Christiano right behind.

"Oh well what a shame cause I haven't missed you one bit!" I threw back at him.

"Don't you dare speak with that tone to me!" He growled.

"You're not my mother," I retorted and his face suddenly flashed an emotion of sadness but soon was back to normal.

"Someone has to be," he said and I eyed him as I could see from the corner of my eye Demi was quite scared yet interested in what was going to play out.

"We said we'd get you Serena but I wanted to make it fun, I wanted to cause pain to everyone you love so that's what I'm here to do, to start what I promised I would do," he said and soon enough they had hold of Josh.

"Let him go!" Jacob yelled.

"No!" Johnny screamed back pointing the gun to Josh's head whilst Christiano had one pointing at Jacob.

"Now Demi you are one gorgeous piece of meat aren't you," Enrique said grabbing hold of her ass, Demi letting out a soft whimper and as soon as he did I went to punch him when Christiano grabbed hold of my hands, "Don't you dare touch her!"

"Protective I see," he chuckled.

"Now Demi you have picked quite a person to fall in love with," Enrique started.

"A girl in a gang with so many enemies and targets, I don't think you realise the facts to this that even if Serena leaves the gang she will always have enemies, people wanting to kill her or ruin her it never ends,"

Demi whimpered in fright and fear as Enrique moved the head of the gun around her shoulder blades.

"Don't you fucking dare!" I yelled.

"Shh now, I wouldn't hurt Demi, yet I'm just having some fun," Enrique chuckled.

"Now Demi I want you to know a couple of things before I leave, one Serena is fucked up, she will never love you, she will never be one of those people who you can tie down because she runs when things get hard, she always did and two remember that night what was it Serena about a week ago when you and Josh went out?"

I swear my face couldn't have turned anymore red in rage, I looked over to Josh who was shaking his head kneeling what was about to come as the rest had confused faces.

"Did you know Josh and Serena had sex," Enrique said.

I shamelessly looked down as I heard gasps and a sob from Demi, Jacob and Brittany.

"Serena is that true?" Demi asked and I didn't look at her, I didn't speak, I just couldn't.

"Serena answer me for god sake!" she yelled startling me and everybody else.

"Yes," I simply said.
