Chapter 43

Demi's POV

I called her numerous amounts of times and left an endless number of text messages but she never responded.. Finally I got a hold of Josh who told me she was there so in a rush I spun my car around and drove to the hospital.

I raced in to the hospital and up to his room and saw Josh there on the bed a panicked look on his face.

"What happened? Are you alright?" I questioned.

"I'm okay," he responded.

"Where's Serena?" I asked and that's when the barely audible sobs were heard coming from the bathroom.

I looked at Josh and he shrugged, "I honestly don't know this time but I have a rough idea."

"What is it?" I asked.

"Best if you hear it from her," he said and I nodded.

What could it possibly be to have Serena in tears? A million possibilities ran through my mind and each one of them made me scared.

"Serena?" I asked as I knocked on the door.

"It's open," she sobbed.

I took a deep breath in and out then opened the door. Serena was lying on the floor with something in her hand, hair in a mess along with her makeup and tears streaming down her face. She honestly looked like a completely different person.

"Baby what's wrong?" I asked sitting down next to her.

"I've ruined everything," she cried.

"Baby talk to me please," I begged.

"Can you hold me?" she shyly asked and it was a side I have never seen of Serena. She looked so fragile, young and broken.

"Demi I'm pregnant," she said and I didn't know what to say.

"But I'll abort it," she said.

But as soon as those words escaped her mouth I shook my head, "No."

"What do you mean no?" she asked.

"Keep the baby."

"Demi I can't raise a baby when I can't even take care of myself," she said.

"We'll raise it together, as a family," I said shocking both myself and her.

"Demi I don't expect you to do that, there's so much to consider, we need to work on ourselves as a couple, I need to work out the gang like there's so many reasons why this wouldn't work," she said exasperated.

"You're right but find that one reason why you would want to do this because I know I have," I said admiring this girl in my arms whom I loved very dearly no matter what she did or where she comes from.

"I found my reason," she smiled and so did I, "What is it?" I asked.

"I want to do this so we can start a family together because Demi never want to lose you," she said and the progress she's made in this relationship and as a person is amazing. I still remember the first time I met her and if someone had have told me that she would be saying this kind of lovey dovey stuff to me I wouldn't have believed them but now even though it's a challenge she says what she's feeling, she opens up to me, she trusts me..

"We're going to do this," I smiled and she nodded, "We're going to do this."

"What are you going to do about the gang?" I asked and she shrugged her shoulders, "I can't leave, I can never leave but I can let the boys and Britt take care of all that stuff," she explained.

"I love you," I said to her.

She looked up at me with a big smile plastered on her face and although she didn't say it I could see it in her eyes and that for me meant a lot. She lightly pecked my lips and stood up, "Lets go home we need to talk about a lot of stuff," she said and I nodded, "This is the hard part."

We walked out hand in hand and Josh smiled at us both, "I'm glad everything's okay," he said.

"Josh I'm pregnant," Serena said and Josh's face went white.

"Oh my god," he sighed.

"It's okay," Serena said and a shocked Josh looked at her not quite understanding.

"Demi and I decided to raise this baby," she explained and Josh nodded.

"What about me?" He quietly asked.

"Well today's your lucky day you get to come home," Serena announced and the joy written all over his face was funny.

"We'll talk about it at home," Serena said and Josh nodded as he got himself ready to leave.

Serena's POV

Too say I was scared was an understatement.. How can I raise a baby!? No matter how many people I have around me to support me I just don't feel like I can. However I do know I don't want to abort this baby, it's a part of me and I could never do that to it. But I'm still scared of everything that could go wrong and there is an endless list of possibilities especially in this family.

"Where will the baby live?" Demi asked.

"I don't know," I answered.

"The baby can live here with Serena and the rest of us," Josh said and I saw a flash of sadness and jealous in Demi's eyes and I instantly felt bad.

"I'll buy my own house," I said unsure of what I was even saying.

"Serena you can't do that this has been your house since we first moved here, you love this house," he said.

"That's right Serena and it is incredibly expensive to buy a house, raise a baby and all the rest," Demi pointed out.

"Why don't you move in here?" I asked her in all seriousness.

"We'll see okay, we will come back to that question when it is closer to the time because Serena we still need to work on us, discover more of our relationship, experience more you know," Demi said and I nodded, "Noted."

"The big question," I said, "What are you two going to be to the baby?"

Thoughts!?

I know a lot of people were hoping for it to be negative but I decided to make it positive so we could see Serena develop more and also Demi and Serena's relationship..
