Chapter 19

Serena's POV

Everything that happened from there on was a big blur. The paramedics came to take Niko to the hospital and now we are impatiently waiting for any news on his conditions.

"Serena are you okay?" Josh asked.

"I don't know, I don't even understand any of this right now,"

"Neither do I S, neither do I," Josh stated as he shook his head looking at the ground.

A silence of emotions washed over us which was soon interrupted by a question that I was least expecting to come from Jacob.

"You have feelings for her don't you?" he asked.

Letting out a sigh and running my fingers through my hair, I nodded.

"How?"

"I don't know somewhere along the way I actually grew feelings for her,"

"Have you had sex with anyone recently?" Jacob asked causing him to earn a slap from Josh.

"What was that for!" Jacob exclaimed, "Don't ask those questions," Josh said.

"I haven't and to be honest it's actually been painful," I admitted.

"So the old you hasn't left completely," Jacob smirked.

Ashamed of what I admitted I slouched down in my chair, "Maybe she hasn't,"

"Stop Serena don't let him get into your head!" Josh snapped.

"Josh don't you understand he's right this is me and always will be I can't be in a relationship without thinking about having sex with some other girl and that's not acceptable and not what Demi deserves,"

"You need her Serena you need someone like Demi, you need a relationship with real and genuine feelings,"

"Get a grip Josh as if she really wanted Serena, Demi's a pop star and would dump her ass as soon as she left for a tour or something," Jacob added.

"He's right, Demi and I were doomed from the beginning and she deserves someone to love her always and forever through the ups and downs and someone who will be able to protect her and much more,"

"Serena don't you dare give up," Josh said.

"I already did and so should you," I said walking out of the waiting room to go get some fresh air.

Demi's POV

My mind still can't process everything that occurred only hours ago.

Why was Serena at that alleyway were the 'gangs' hang at?

Was Serena apart of a gang?

Did she steal money or worse kill people?

Why did her friends tie me up and torture me?

All these questions that will remain unanswered since I want nothing to do with her anymore after this. She lied to me and hid obviously something massive from me.

Why would I go back to someone like that?

Because you have strong feelings for her my mind screamed..

All of this right now is just painful other than my bruises but my heart hurts, I actually thought that Serena and I could build a strong relationship but I was wrong she probably didn't even want that..

Thinking back to tonight's events a shiver ran down my spine and tears started spilling down my face as I remember the facial expression that Serena's face held once she saw that it was me. That will be permanent glued into my brain and something I will never forget as we both knew that this would be the end of whatever we had.
