Serena's POV
"We have news," the doctor said to us.
Looking between each other we nodded and waited for what was to come.
"Niko died in surgery,"
Shaking my head in disbelief I let out a piercing scream, "No!" I yelled.
"I'm so sorry we did everything we could but he just wasn't responding," the doctor explained but no words, no actions could ever make this better and bring him back to us.
I can't believe I killed him.
"I did this, I deserve to be dead not him!" I yelled as Josh and Jacob grabbed on to me and tried to get me to calm down but nothing or nobody would stop me.
"Let go of me!" I yelled as I pushed them off of me.
"I deserve to be dead!" I yelled as I punched the wall in anger over and over again until there was a hole in the wall and blood all over my fists and the skin down to my knuckles.
"I hate my life!" I screamed before running out of the hospital and somewhere far away from here.
After about forty minutes I had reached The Lookout and just in time as a sharp pain slashed through my stomach. Sitting down and looking out I started to cry and scream, "Im so sorry Niko,"
"I'm so sorry that you're gone, I'm so sorry that I hurt you that badly, I'm just sorry for everything I wish you were here right now and being your stupid, annoying self but you're not because of me," I cried.
Calming down, I went quiet and numb just sitting there blankly staring out at the view of LA.
"Serena?" I heard her voice.
"How did you know I would be here?" I asked.
"Your friend Josh came to the apartment and told me that you might be here,"
"Why did you come?"
"To see if you were alright," she said sitting down next to me.
"Why would you care?" I said and looking at her for the first time I saw the band aids and bandage on her face and arms and I felt terrible all over again.
"Because Serena I care about you,"
"Even after everything?" I asked, "Even after everything," she responded.
"I just can't believe he's gone," I whispered.
Putting an arm around me, Demi pulled me closer into the warmth of her body, nuzzling into her chest I took in the smell of her perfume and smiled to myself. I wish I could lay here forever and not move..
Demi's POV
I wanted to hug her for longer, I wanted to kiss her, I wanted to take her pain away but I just couldn't let myself be that vulnerable yet again.
"Do you want to know why I lashed out on him?" Serena asked and I nodded.
"As soon as I saw it was you everything stopped around me and all I could think of was that I let somebody hurt you when I'm the one who should be protecting you so I did protect you the only way I could and knew by hurting Niko and making him feel the same pain that I did,"
Sitting there I didn't know what to say back to her, looking at her as she looked up at me I couldn't help but move in closer as our lips locked. Such passion and emotion I have never felt but then reality hit me again and I pulled away.
"I'm sorry," I mumbled.
"Don't be, I'm sorry," Serena said.
After sitting there for a few minutes in silence I decided to speak first, "Lets go get something to eat,"
Standing up with Serena beside me, she looked at me and then I felt her fingers intwine with mine and I smiled to myself as I thought again how it was a perfect fit. Walking back to my car I saw a huge crowd of people and cameras flashing and I realised that the paparazzi had found us.
'DEMI WHAT HAPPENED TO WILMER!'
'DEMI IS THIS YOUR NEW GIRLFRIEND!'
'WERE YOU TWO LOVE BIRDS ON A DATE!'
'YOU TWO ARE SO CUTE AND I LOVE HOW YOUR HOLDING HANDS!'
Looking down at our hands I quickly tore mine away from hers and hurried us to get into the car.
"I'm so sorry about that," I said as we backed out and drive away from there.
"It's okay," she mumbled dazing out of the window.
"Do you want to go eat?" I asked and she shook her head," Do you mind just taking me home?"
Nodding I drove her back to her place and only received a weak smile and a Thankyou as she got out of the car. Wanting to make sure she got in okay I waited and that's when I realised it was a big mistake, a blonde girl, I think her name is Brittany opened the door and brought Serena into a heated kiss.
