Demi's POV

I was pacing around the living room my nerves building up by every passing minute as I wait for Serena to pick me up. I don't know what I'm feeling whether I'm excited or more nervous as to how it will play out.

Mar has been pestering me by saying that I have feelings for her but she won't believe me when I say that I genuinely don't, at least I don't think.. Just coming out or not even fully out of the worst relationship of my life and most damaging it's difficult to even see myself with somebody else ever again because it's just scarred me. Every day I will always live with that in me, I'll always live with the scars he's given me both mentally and physically and the memories will always be in my mind and not for one second slip out. Wilmer ruined me and that I will never forget.

A relationship with Serena seems impossible. She doesn't seem like one to fall in love and stay true to one person. By no means am I judging her since I don't even know her well but to me she comes across as that. But then I remember back to the night when she was my 'Knight in shining armour' she was a complete different person she was caring, sincere and seemed quite sensitive but that went away as quick as it came and she was back to her normal self.

Interrupting my thoughts was the doorbell ringing, I took a deep breath in and out and opened the door to be greeted by Serena and a bunch of red roses my favourite.

"How did you know that was my favourite?" I asked

"I have my ways," she grinned

"Thankyou so much," I hugged her

"You look beautiful," she mumbled but I heard her as she stared at me and for a moment all those things I said about her slipped out of my mind but then it's like she was fighting with herself and she went back to her player like self.

"Let me grab my phone and put these beautiful roses in a vase," I said and she nodded

Serena's POV

Without hesitation I can admit that I actually genuinely stared at Demi and thought she was beautiful. No matter what she wears she looks beautiful and I love her smile. That smile saves lives and a couple of years back it saved mine.

"Are you ready?" I asked

"Whenever you are," she smiled

We walked together to my Audi R8 and I opened the door for her and I jumped over the front of my car and went to the drivers side, "Such great manners," she smiled

"Don't get used to it," I retorted as she started laughing again.

"I won't don't worry,".

I expected it to be completely awkward between us as we drove to my 'surprise' but it was far from it we were blasting music and singing really badly and having lots of laughs. I learnt some of her favourite songs and artists and she learnt mine as well. Currently we were listening to 'Undressed' and we were both screaming the lyrics as loud as we could. I put the roof down and Demi stood up on her seat and started to dance and shake her ass, I couldn't stop laughing.

Just as the song finished we arrived at the beach. I got out of the car and opened the door up for Demi and we headed down to the beach. We approached the picnic basket and rug on the floor which was surrounded by candles.

"You've done good Serena,".

"For our first date I wanted it to be special," I said.

"Who said this was a date?" she questioned.

"Do you want it to be a date?" I questioned back.

"I'll tell you by the end of the night,".

"Bring it," I smirked.
