Chapter 59: Happy Birthday John!

(A/N Yup we're doing a time skip to August 19th!)

-Freddie's POV-

Today's a very important and special day! Today's the day John enters his 20s, also known as his big birthday! I'm very excited for his party, which instead of at home, Brian and Roger rented out this gorgeous space. The theme was simple: A Party Under the Stars. We also had our neighbors, Tori and Jaime assist as well with starry decor and themed treats. Tori baked the cake himself and it looked delectable. Of course I somehow figured out John's favorite flavor of cake through an old coworker of his who said John always ate the little macarons on break.

Everything was all set and at a perfect timing too. As soon as more guests arrived, basically including more of our neighbors, I advised them I'll be back with the birthday boy. "We'll keep watch for you two just so that we'll be ready to jump out and surprise him.", Rog stated. "Cool. I'll go get the birthday boy.", I said. I left the venue and went back home to retrieve him.

"John, darling? You almost ready?", I called entering. He was a little drowsy from a nap he took after his breakfast. "I'm coming but could you tell me why I'm wearing this again?", he called back. "I know it has stars on it, babe, but we're going to a fancy convention.", I responded.

But that's not exactly where we're going anyways.

John came out of the bedroom moments later in his starry shirt, with that he wore these indigo flare pants and black platform shoes. "You look like you've seen galaxies!", I complimented in awe, he did look very beautiful. "Even though it's not my style, I kinda like this getup.", he hummed. "I knew you would! Now c'mon we're going to be late.", I replied.

We headed out and hailed a cab on the way back to the venue. He kept asking me questions about where we were heading.

"Where are we headed?"

"A surprise place."

"Is it like a theatre?"

"Hmm, sorta."

"Are there more fancy dressed people there?"

"Yes!"

"Is the theme space like?"

"Pretty much."

At least I'm keeping him somewhat entertained before the real surprise.

We arrived shortly at the venue and John was in awe on how big the venue was on the outside. "You're telling me there's a big event in here?", he asked. "Absolutely! And I need you to shut your eyes for a moment and I'll guide you in, for it's a surprise you know.", I told him. "Okay.", he giggles. I covered his eyes and carefully and lead him inside the venue.

"Are we getting there?", he asked. "We are darling, almost...", I replied heading straight to the rented space. Luckily the door was opened. "Alright baby, you can open up in 3...2....1.." I took my hands off his now opened eyes and...

"SURPRIIIIISSSEEE!", everyone else shouted, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Confetti and streamers flew from around the room, balloons floated their way down.

"Oh wow, I wasn't expecting this!", John exclaimed. "Well you can thank your bandmates and I for setting this up for you.", I bragged. "I'm amazed, you didn't have to do this though.", he blushed. "Aww sweetie, I knew you'd like it.", I softly said. "Now c'mon, let's really get this party started!", the blonde one announced, everyone cheered on pleading us to come along. I took Deaky by the hand and we started off the party right with the music blaring and everyone dancing.

Nothing could possibly ruin this day for my baby.
