-Freddie's POV-

9:30 am

I was the first awake the next morning, still lying in bed just to see the sight of my baby. He was still asleep sound, snoring softly every other minute. I couldn't dare wake him, he looked so sweet, the least I could do is kiss him. So I gently planted one on his forehead like when a prince kisses a princess awake. His eyes that sparkled a sterling silver finally opened as he peered up at me.

"Good morning, my little lamb. I hope you slept incredibly well after last night." I cooed. "Yeah, I'm well.", Deaks replied in a daze, he still felt a little sleepy. "That's good, I'm glad you're doing alright." I hummed. He slowly rose up from the bed, rubbing his eyes. I pulled him in closer lovingly.

"Hey, hun, listen.....I mean it every time whenever I say that I'm proud of you for becoming sober. I encourage you to keep going with your sobriety, your body will thank you. In fact, it already does. And also, I can tell that it's a sign of love. Honoring the boundaries I've set really shown some respect for me as your partner. You've grown quite mature, baby, and I'm proud of that."

I wasn't sure if John was able to correlate what I was saying since he was still foggy in the mind, I didn't hear him respond. And then I noticed...

"Hey are you okay?", I asked, I felt him shaking and saw his eyes gloss up. "John? Baby? What's the matter?" His bottom lip quivered rapidly. "What's wrong? You can tell me. Are you hurt?"

The sweetheart started sobbing uncontrollably, leaning on my shoulder and crying. "Deakling, what's going on? What's troubling you to tears?" I stroked his long brunette hair in a comforting motion. "I don't....I can't....", he cried. "What is it, doll?", I asked. This moment was interrupted by the doorbell. I sighed and let go of Deaks. I told him I'll be back and answered. Things turned even sadder.

There stood Roger, who was also in tears, duffel bag on his shoulder. "Blondie, what happened?" I asked. "Brian, he....he kicked me out. He locked the door and everything. He, he...he said unless I get my act together, I'm not coming back home.", he sobbed. I sighed and let him inside, I sat him on the couch. "Tell me, why did he kick you out? Another argument? Something being said?", I inquired. "It's all my fault...he told me that I needed to get it together or else we're done.", he wept shaking his head. "But what did you do?", I pestered. He settled down and finally explained:

"Brian & I are still reeling from the last argument, trying to find some kind of peace, but I couldn’t hold back. I lashed out, telling him his parents should’ve accepted us from the start—and that he should be grateful I never pushed him to come out sooner. That lit a fuse, he snapped back, saying I never try to see things from his perspective, that I should understand by now. And in that moment, it felt like we were speaking different languages—both hurting, both unheard."

That hurt my heart to hear, I didn't know exactly what to say about it. I was speechless and appalled. "I can only imagine how hurt and frustrated you must be feeling right now. That said, responding with anger or retaliation might only make things worse. I have to agree with Brian on this — it could really help to take a step back and try to see things from his perspective. Just take a moment to understand where he's coming from and what might be driving his actions."

The blonde nodded in agreement and acknowledgement. "I'm incredibly upset, but I won't let this get to me. If it's alright with you, could you allow me to stay a couple nights here?", he explains. "Sure, I'll allow you to stay for as long as you need. Make yourself feel comfortable", I replied. I took off to go check on John, who sat in silence, eyes ruby red from crying.

"Hey hun. Roger's here, he's gonna stay a couple nights.", I said. "Why?", he asked. "In short, they had another argument, and Brian kicked him out. I hope this is just temporary." I sighed. "Okay." Deaks hummed.

"Babe, are you alright after crying for a little while? You haven't told me what's bothering you." I inquired. "I got teary eyed because I felt guilty, unworthy of praise for staying sober. I fear this path may lead to something undesirable. I must fill the void with something else, something alternative. If only-"

"I can help with that!", I interrupted, "I mean, don't the mock tails help? I can limit you to one every other day." "Mocktails aren’t the solution; I’m not looking to drink the pretend stuff!", John argued. "Hey there, hun, you've been away for two months at that facility. It's time to stop thinking about the real deal and consider what it could do to our relationship, babe. Let's just try to focus on moving forward together, okay?", I urged. He sighed and just replied, "Fine."
He turned away from my view.

"I understand that you might be feeling upset, but would you be willing to help me make breakfast? After that, I would be happy to prepare a mocktail for you. Would that be okay?", I bribed, I pressed a kiss on his forehead. "Alright, I can do that.", he replied blushing a little. "Excellent. Come along then.", I said, pulling him out of the bed and into the kitchen.

I have a feeling that today is gonna be a very long Sunday.
