We were trying to figure out a way out of the cell. Our grand idea was to run straight into the death bars and hope they would somehow break.
Look, when you're desperate, you do stupid things.
"We're committing to this."
"Yeah, I'm committed." Toby said.
"Committed." I said getting ready.
Chompsky squared up along with us.
"Toby, Rose, don't hold back." Claire said.
"We're not. On three..."
"One, two, three!" We counted.
We charged at the bars, but were shocked and thrown backwards.
"I really thought we had it this time." Toby groaned.
"Come on, we knew this wasn't gonna work." I strained.
"I don't think this door's gonna open." Claire said.
Chompsky was waving to us from outside the cell.
"Don't rub it in, Chompsky." I glared.
"Kanjigar said we needed Chompsky to be our guide and more. You don't think..." Claire thought.
Chompsky was chattering excitedly. Claire lifted him up to where the key hole was, "You'll forgive me if this works." She put him in the hole head first.
He was heard chittering around the hole for a moment before the bars opened up. Chompsky came out of the hole and landed into Claire's hand.
"It worked!" I exclaimed.
"How would Kanjigar know that?" Toby asked as we stepped out.
"Who cares! Let's get Jim. Chompsky, go find Blinky and Aaarrrggghhh!!!" Claire said.
Chompsky zipped off to do so.
"Ha! Such a spunky little fella." Toby said.
We went to find Jim, but without Chompsky, we were getting lost.
"We've been here before." Toby said, "We're running in circles."
"I can hear him." Claire said, "He's got to be on the other side of this skull!"
"I used to love mazes. Not anymore."
Toby leaned against the skull, which made it slightly shake.
"Gah!" I screamed.
"What did you do?" Claire asked.
"That wasn't me." Toby said.
The skull somehow flipped over, sending us down a dark slide, leading us to Jim.
Wait, was that Nomura?
What's she doing here?
"Oh, everything hurts." Toby groaned.
"Jim!" We exclaimed when we saw him.
"Not just Jim!" Toby freaked out when he looked around.
We saw a large troll, who could only be Gunmar.
Oh no...
This just got a whole lot harder.
"Humans? Here?" Gunmar said, "The bridge is open! Catch them!"
The Gumm-Gumm army was ready to attack us. The worst part was I couldn't use my magic to fight them off.
"This way." Nomura said as we ran off.
