To the Readers of Until the Last Sunset,
This was the story that I gave so much effort to think twice about the ending. To be honest with you, my first plan was to give Evan a final touch to bid good bye to his loving Karen. But, then I realized many things upon writing this story.
Karen is the kind of girl who didn't receive so much love from her family. But, it doesn't mean I didn't give her importance. I wrote this story to give her a spotlight, so that everybody like her can shine independently.
I wrote this story to tell you how much important "self love", and "self passion". Hindi lahat sa atin nabibigyan ng pagkakataong piliin ang bagay na gusto natin, hindi lahat sa atin may pribilehiyo na gawin ang gusto natin. Karen, is one of that.
I want you to be reminded that life is too short to choose not to be happy dear, so what's wrong choosing the things that makes your heart comfortable? What's wrong with choosing the things you love? Because I didn't see anything wrong with that, as long as you're not using it to degrade others.
To clarify things, Evan didn't fall in love with Karen because he pity her. But, because Evan found out that the things that make his heart free from the wrath he has was loving the person who caused him the pain.
I want you to promise me that no matter what happend, no matter how hard the journey and the situation is. Always choose what your heart wants, and not what other people want you to become. It's fine to fail, it's fine to be hurt. It's a part of growing as an individual, trust me it will make you a better person someday.
Ayos lang mabigo tayo sa landas na pinili natin, kasi that's your choice. Hindi ka manghihinayang kasi ikaw 'yung pumili niyan, at hindi ang iba. Don't you imagine yourself to went home, after a tiring day? And still manage to smile and tell to yourself. "Ito ang gusto ng puso ko, ito 'yung pangarap ko noon na natupad ko na ngayon".
