Their walk to Gia's house is silent but not uncomfortable. She can already hear Stella bark before she has even opened the door. She turns around to see Tommy's reaction to her dog's aggressive barking, but she sees no expression on his face. It gives her an intense feeling, but she doesn't know why.

"Stella nein." She tells her dog off as she gets inside. The dog stops directly at the sound of the word. She turns around and says, "You should pet her, so she knows you don't mean any harm."

Tommy goes down on both knees to pet the dog. The dog seems wary at first, but soon enough, she leans into his touch. "What's her name?" He asks, focused on the dog. "Stella or black Stella. It means star in Italian, and black is because, well, she's black." She explains and even earns a little scoff at the end.

"You're good with animals. She was actually given to me by my cousin because they couldn't tame her the way that they wanted to." She explains as he gets up. "Well, I like them. They're easier to be around sometimes." She smiles while taking off her vest. "You seem to be doing okay around me." He lifts a brow, "That's because I don't mind being around people I like."

"What would you want to eat?" She asks him while taking his vest off and changing the subject. "Whatever you got is good." He tells her. "I'll make some Panzanella with focaccia and a casserole. Maybe some rice or pasta, why not both?" She's speaking out loud as she's walking to what Tommy can presume is the kitchen. It's modern and rustic, definitely different than the ones they have in Birmingham.

"Isn't that a bit much?" He smiles slightly. "There is never enough food on a table." She smiles back at him. "Come and help me." She orders him as she turns around to get the supplies. The dangerous Thomas Shelby sat there in a woman's kitchen with his sleeves rolled up, making some focaccia.

She even put on some music and started humming the melody. The sweet sound makes him look up at her. It would be crazy to think that this is the face and aura of a woman who ran from a doomed future.

"And that's the last plate. Gustoso." She smiles after they've been cooking for an hour. "Thank you." He thanks her as he takes the plate she's offering to him. He takes his first bite, and his eyes widen, making her giggle. "That's... quite... eh, good." He seems shocked, like he didn't expect it to actually be tasty. "Your making, Thomas." She takes her fork and digs into her foot.

They sat there for an hour straight. They both have questions they would die to ask each other, but they keep it to small talk. It is only when Thomas looks over at her clock that he realizes how late it is.

"I should go." He stands up. "Oh, yeah." She smiles softly and starts walking him over to the corridor to get his jacket.

"Thank you for tonight." He smiles after he puts on his long coat. He opens the door, not waiting for her reaction, and walks out of the house. He turns around and genuinely feels sad to leave her behind.

It may not have been much, but he never gets to have nice or simple things like this. He doesn't know what it is maybe it's the way she's standing there looking at him with so much hope in her eyes, but something in his gut tells him to lean into her.

His trembling breath shows his nervousness about what's happening. The sides of their noses touch as he waits for her to tell him to stop, but her hand snakes up his chest and then around his neck.

They look each other in the eyes, hoping that the other will stop whatever is happening between them. Gia sighs and leans in, making her soft lips touch his. It is sweet and doesn't last long, but it feels like the moment is happening in slow-motion.

They both pull away from the loving touch they give each other. Yet, it didn't feel bad; it felt right and good. A smile sneaks its way onto Tommy's lips, the most genuine one she's seen on his so far.

She lets go of his neck, which he takes as a hint to take a step back. They smile at each other in awe of what happened. Tommy turns around as his smile starts to make his cheeks hurt and redden.

He stops in the middle of the street and decides to turn back around. He practically runs into her arms, making her laugh. He then puts a hand on the small of her back and one on her neck.

He kisses her one more time, trying to memorize the shape of her lips. The kiss is more passionate than the other one they just had.

He lets go of her with a small stab in his heart because he feels like he could kiss her for days on end. "I'll see you in Sicily." She yells as he makes his way up to the Shelby family residence that's further down the street.

"Depends on my mood." he yells back before disappearing into the house. She tries to look at him until he's gone. She closes the door and leans her head against it.
