Gia's serving a couple of beers to her clients when she hears the front door open. She turns around and is faced with the Shelby brothers. She looks at each one, one by one, when she finally sees the face she was searching for.

The other brothers go directly into the side room, leaving Tommy and Gia. He doesn't smile but rather takes her radiant beauty in before dissapearing into the ideroom like his brothers.

Micky orders her from behind the bar, "They won't come to you to tell you what they want. Go ask them." She goes into the room with a pail of beer. "Did you want whiskey as well?" She speaks up between the men's conversations. "No. Just beer." A voice on her left answers.

When she looks down, she sees Tommy Shelby with a light expression, as if he's been getting everything that he wants. She nods and starts to give the men their beer. "Why no whiskey, Tom? Are you expecting trouble?" The oldest sibling asks seriously in between the laughter with his younger brother.

When she is done, she turns around and leaves the room, yearning for Tommy's answer. His eyes follow her curves as she walks out. Arthur raises a brow at his younger brother, knowing that Tommy doesn't put his mind to women.

"It's about time, Tommy." John gets the attention of Tommy, who turns his head back around to meet his brother's gaze. "Time for what?" Tommy asks suddenly, irritated. "Time you took yourself a woman." John grinns. "Just play the bloody hands." Tommy says trying hard to keep the corners of his mouth down.

"You stay the way you are, Tommy. Remember what Dad used to say? Fast women and slow horses." Arthur starts. "Will ruin your life." John ends, making Tommy's smile break out on his lips. Even if it's an almost unnoticeable smile, it sure is there.

Suddenly, two lights stop right in front of the window, shining right in Tommy's eyes. Gia doesn't notice anything until two men walk in with bean shooters.

She knows they don't belong to Mario's or Tommy's by the way they are dressed, but she doesn't understand to whom these men belong. Then someone walks in, making the room go silent until one voice says, "Holy shit. It's Billy Kimber."

"Is there any man here named Shelby?" He asks loudly. The man looks to be around 45 years old based on the gray that's starting to grow on both sides of his head. She sees him slip his hand into his vest and take out a gun. He shoots a bullet into the ceiling and repeats his question.

Everyone stays silent until the door of the side room opens. Tommy walks in with his two brothers following. "Gia, get these men a drink. Everyone else, go home!" He orders loudly.

Everyone abruptly leaves, leaving everything on the tables without a question, up until Gia's the only one standing behind the bar. She has always been protected from these situations by her father, until recently.

The adrenaline still fills her body when she knows something could go wrong. Gia serves the whiskey when Tommy points at her and almost whispers. "You go home.". He knows very little of her past and knows she can take whatever happens, but it's safest for her to leave them to handle this alone.

"I've never approved of women in pubs, but when they look like that, She can stay." Billy speaks up and sits down at a table. Tommy sighs and sits down while Gia goes back behind the bar. Tommy ignores him and mentions, "You said you wanted men called Shelby. You've got three of them." as he put on a cigarette.

The man starts to yell at Tommy about why he's here. Tommy doesn't seem to like the disrespect, when you see the look on his face. Tommy explains his plan and tells the man they can work together against the Lees.

"Nobody works with me. People work for me." Billy declares as he turns his head to meet Gia's gaze. "Come over here." He orders Gia. She first looks at Tommy, who nods at her. Gia walks from behind the bar up to him.

He drops a penny and says with a smirk, "Pick it up, princes." Making his men laugh sarcastically. "Did your mother not bless you with hands, or are you mentally handicapped?" She gets closer to his face and questions him.

He scoffes, "What is wrong with you people? I'm Billy fucking Kimber! You do not talk to me like that." She gets back up and answers calmly, "I do because I can."

"Who do you think you are? answering me without my consent. You're nothing but a woman. A woman who wears men's clothing and has a big mouth. I hear you're Italian too." He starts to get aggravated.

"The fact that I have ovaries does not mean you can disrespect me. I'm more of a man than you'll ever be." She explains it to him calmly, which makes him even crazier. "You're a nasty woman." He tells her, his voice full of venom. "I know." She smiles slightly.

"I'll come back for you. Be there at Cheltenham. All of you." He mumbles, intimidated, while making space between the two of them. "You do what you've got to do; I'll do what I've got to do." She tells him as she watches him walk out of the pub.

That's when she hears one of the brothers speak up. "Tommy, why didn't you let her talk? She already has a second bloody arrangement."

She turns around and eyes Tommy. Tommy looks her in the eye before turning around. "Get yourself a decent haircut, man. We're going to the races." Tommy announces it to his older brother, who doesn't seem favorable about what happened.

"Tommy, you do know you're punching above your weight?" Gia asked him when his brothers left smiling. "I have a plan." He explains to not make her worry.

"I know. You're not a fool, Tommy. But you've got to know that this will either turn out good or bad. There is a 50/50 percent chance that this will turn out in your favor, but there is probably an even bigger chance it won't. Are you sure you're ready for that?" She asks him as she stands right in front of his chair. "I am. I've got faith in my plan." He sips from his drink as he takes in her words.

"You do? Faith is not always a good thing to have." She explains it to him. "You've got faith in God. Why would you not admire faith?" He questions. "Because having faith in God is having faith in the good. Having faith in your plan is having faith in the bad." She answers to him.

She leaves him with worry in her heart, making him think about what she said, as always. "Do you have a dress?" He asks her out of nowhere once she's behind the bar. "Of course I do." She smiles at him unknowingly. "Wear it to the races." He tells her as he finishes the last of his whiskey.

"Is that your way of asking women out? You've got to try harder." She smirks at him. He stands up and takes her in one last time before leaving. She always looks put-together and classy. She has a fire in her. He has seen it before in the way she talks and walks. But mostly in her eyes.
