-9 months later-

Gia's dream is ruined, by loud noises. She slowly opens her eyes to be sure the sound isn't part of her dream.

She looks around and hears a more silent noise, but this time she's sure it wasn't from her dream. The sun is slowly rising, showing that it's the early morning, maybe around five am.

The empty spot in her bed, doesn't go unnoticed. She lets her hand glide over it and sighs. She's sure of their love, but he sure is a complicated man.

Tommy has tried his best these past months, but he didn't change. He has tried being a good dad and an understanding partner, which already is a good step, right?

She tries to close her eyes, but her curiosity gets the best of her as she stands up and practically tiptoes out of their bedroom. She slowly walks to the top of the stairs and looks over the rails.

The big red carpet is easy recognizable because of the chandelier that's dangling from the ceiling. She makes her way to the bottom of the stairs and sees that Tommy's office door is open.

She makes her way to the room thinking she would see an early maid, but to her surprise, she seed the back of a man. He obviously hasn't seen her as he gulps down the last of his drink.

Thinking about the first time she met him she recalls, "Drinking in the morning is not considered healthy." When the first letter left her mouth, he froze.

"No rest for the wicked." He answers as the memory of their first time meeting comes into his head. She makes her way towards him and places her hand on his back. "Come back to bed. You're being loud, you're going to wake up Elijah."

He sighs and places his left hand around her waist after he turned around. He kisses the top of her head and nods. "You promised no business today." She mentions.

He sighs once again but louder and turns around to look at his office "You're right." He turns back around and kisses his soon to be lawfully wedded wife and walks to the door.

She looks down to the papers and warns him, "If I find out you're doing business today, I'll have your fucking balls." He lets her pass through the door and mumbles, "I'm sure you will."

She sits down on a chair in his office as he starts to clean up the shattered papers. "What's troubling you, Tom?" Her voice is soft and barely awake. He keeps on arranging and stops to lean on his fists that are placed on the table.

"No business during the day, I promised. I finished this now, so I can focus on you. On us." He puts the papers in the drawer. Tommy looks at Gia and slowly makes his way toward her. He lifts her chin and kisses her. "I'm trying my best for you."

She kisses him once more and stands up, "Maybe you should also try for yourself every once in a while." Gia walks to the door and stops before turning around with a smile only he can see, "You comin'? We still have a couple of hours."

Tommy doesn't hesitate to follow her and those few hours are quickly over when their little boy starts crying. Gia gets the boy up and goes downstairs where she meets Ada, and seemingly all the other people who were waiting on the small family.

She gives her son to Ada and rushes to put her wedding dress on. "Come on, you've waited long enough to get married. Wouldn't want to get too late to your own wedding." Polly takes her by the hand before helping her get ready.

The make up is seemingly needed, but once she put's the dress on, a smile finally appears on her face. There's a knock on the door.

Gia looks behind the curtain that separates her from the rest to see her mother walk in. She quickly finishes putting the dress on so she can meet her mother.

As she walked from behind the curtain, all the women smile. She looks up and sees her mom in tears. The mother walks over to her daughter and puts a family heirloom in her hair. "Erano di mia madre." She informs Gia. "Grazie." She thanks her mother.

Gia hears her three-month-old son cry and sees her mother's eyes light up. The woman walks over to meet her grandson, who now was passed to Roma. Gia isn't only stressed about the ceremony itself but mostly about the two family's encounters.

She's scared that her side of the room in the church would be mostly empty. Even though she has everyone she needs right here, she would be lying if she said that she didn't mind having completely empty seats.

She eyes the encounter between her mother and her son and mumbles to Ada. "Please, keep her close." Ada responds with a wink and a smile. Gia has grown quite fond of the women in this room.

Esme checks the clock and tones, "Come on let's go get you married then." Gia gets placed with her son in a beautiful car filled with white decorations.

Once they arrived, Elijah is taken away from her, by Polly who quickly goes with the other women inside to take place. As the doors of the church open, Tommy looks up to see the woman he loves but is met with the women of his family making their way to the front to take a seat.

Before Gia's mother can sit down, she walks up to Tommy. Her soft hand lays on his cheek and she gives him a sweet smile. "Prenditi cura di mia figlia."

She turns around and makes her way to sit down with the rest of her family. Gia's side isn't as empty as she might expect it to be.

Her family, who came in mass, outshines the Shelby family with ease. All, wearing their best costumes and shoes. There are cousins, uncles, aunts, and family friends. But there are no siblings, perhaps for the best.

She hasn't heard much from them since her brother was kind enough to safe her Tommy. She knowns they wouldn't be able to come back to each other but all these months passing with nothing really happening did make her feel like all would be well again.

Tommy knows that her eyes will first go to searching through the crows and only then to him. She had sent a letter to them in the hope this would bring some kind of peace with the small hope she has left.

Tommy also knowns that no one would walk her down the aisle, and yet he's happy not one brother showed up.

She looked at the big wooden doors and sighs. Behind those doors is everyone she ever loved, but most importantly Tommy and her son. Everything she needs is there for her to grasp.

Yet, something fell wrong until she feels a warm hand on her shoulder. She turns around and is met by her uncle, Antonio.

He has a scared but yet proud look in his eyes. She sighs with a smile on her face as he put his hand on her cheek. "You look great." He mumbles and takes away his hand from her face.

Antonio gives her his arm and asks, "Ready?" She takes his arm and gives him a big smile. He gives a notice to the guards, who hold the door closed, to open them.

Once the doors are all the way open, they start walking in.

Against Tommy's better judgement is Gia searching for his blue eyes. He can't hide the smile on his normally hard exterior.

Once, at the end does her uncle give her a kiss and then gives her hand to Tommy. They both direct their attention to the preacher as he whispered to her, "You look beautiful."

The ceremony itself wasn't very long, as Tommy requested. "Do you, Thomas Michael Shelby, take Giovanna Colosimo Changretta to be your lawfully wedded wife?" The preacher asks loudly.

"I do." His voice sounds loud and rough. He takes her ring and places in on her finger.

"Do you, Giovanna Colosimo Changretta, promise to love and honour Thomas Michael Shelby till death do you part?" He asks Gia. "I do." She vows and takes his ring and puts it around his finger.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife." He smiles at the couple. Tommy doesn't waste his time and places his hand on her cheeks to kiss her deeply.

The now cold band of his golden ring is a change Gia will have no problem adjusting to.
