Tommy walks through the front door of his house all while breaking his head over everything that happened in the last two days ago.
He left the choice to Gia whether she wanted to leave the hospital and get better in the safety of their own house or if she wanted to stay. And , of course, she chose the first one.
Tommy walks over to his office to expect no one in particular but is stopped by Gino who looks anything but happy. He pulls his brows together and asks, "What's going on?"
Gino answers with a groan before he speaks up, "Basically, my family sucks balls." He goes on saying, "He's in there, Tommy." Tommy's eyes direct to the wooden door in front of him as if he can see through it.
There is no need for Gino to even mention the name. "I want you to go call John. He'll know what to do." Tommy orders and get's a nod back as a response.
He hears Gino's footsteps dim, meaning he's further away. Tommy breathes a slow breath in through his nose. His coldness and lack of showing feelings are always a part of him, but sometimes on days like this, he has a hard time trying to compose himself.
All he wants to do is burst through that door and punch that man over and over till he can't respond, especially for Gia, he knows that's not a good idea.
His hand snakes to the handle of the door and opens it agonizingly slow. He's met with Mario standing behind his bureau and two men sitting on the chairs in front of it. "Excuse me, gentlemen didn't know I had company.", He announces himself.
Tommy goes around his bureau and sits on his leather chair. He recognises both faces of the men. The man on his right was the man who saved him from his execution, Polo. And the other man was the devil himself, Luca.
"To what do I owe this pleasure?" His question is mostly addressed to Luca. "Well, you see, there has been an unfortunate event." Luca chooses his words wisely. "Nothing bad I hope." Tommy keeps his figure cold.
"Nothing permanent. I came here to talk about business." He goes on. "Gia isn't here." Tommy informs the men. "I know, it's not for her that I came though." He laughs in Tommy's face.
"You see Thomas, My sister, is a smart woman. Some might even say that she's unlike any woman they've ever met. But she can be naive sometimes. You know, with her emotions, especially now." Tommy isn't sure if he's taking the piss out of this situation or genuinely doesn't know how to word everything right.
"I was hoping that you could understand the way that I work a bit more. You're a serious businessman, after what I heard. I was hoping we could reclose some deals." He suggests.
"I wouldn't mind closing new deals with you in the presence of my wife. What husband would I be if I intervened with my wife's work?" Tommy responds as he lights a cigarette.
Luca looks over to Polo with a slight disbelief in his eyes. "Questo stronzo è serio?" He mocks. Mario spoke up, "He is." Luca left out a disgusting grin, "Naturalmente lo è."
"When would your wife be arriving home from the hospital?" Luca asks. Tommy knew there was a chance that he was aware of her state, but Mario on the other hand didn't like it one bit. "Don't ask that so nonchalant when you damn well know who put her there." He barks back.
Before Luca could answer, the door opens. Luca turns his head to the side to catch a glimpse of who it is, but doesn't waste longer than a second before turning his head back.
In came the two other Shelby brothers led by Gino. The brothers match the same cold facial look as their brother. Gino doesn't waste one look at the men sitting and makes his way to stand next to Mario, who's now standing next to Tommy's bureau.
John and Arthur make their way to each stand next to Tommy's chair. "So, you must be the Shelby brothers then." Luca acknowledges.
He darts his pointer finger to Arthur. "Oldest?" He guesses but get's no response, not that he needs one. "Come to hai indovinato? Sembra più vecchio di mia madre." Polo says his first words in this meeting.
"I would appreciate it if you didn't talk shit about my brother in our presence." John threatens. "Boldest. So, youngest." Luca moves his finger to John. He puts his hand down and looks Tommy in the eyes. "Più malvagio." He mumbles.
"éper favore-" Polo laughs, but is cut short by Gino. "I liked it better when you kept your lips shut." Luca clears his throat, "Anyway, where was I? My sister, right."
He doesn't pay any mind to the uncomfortable air, and continues, "My brother's in a war with a certain Jew. Which is all none of my business, se sono onesto. You happened to drive by" He's cut short by Mario, "So, the shooter accidentally aimed at them?"
"Never said that, the shooter was infiltrated, a spy, if you might. Now, he was meant to aim at the car, but no person in particular. We were going to deal with him, but there is a name he kept on screaming from the beginning. Does Campbell ring any bells?" Luca questions.
John turns his head towards Tommy, "I thought that bastard was dead." Tommy sighs, "Do you still have him in captivity?" Luca leans forward with his arm on his knees, "We do, but what businessman would I be if I didn't ask for something in return? I want to overlook the deals and rules I made with Gia." He puts the option on the table.
"Are you that blind? Do you see her, cugino? If not, deal closed." Gino's sassy attitude get's through his normally cold attitude. "It's okay, I have time. What about a little drink while I wait for my dear sister?" Luca smiles like the devil.
