Time.

Time is something sacred. It's something so many people take for granted because, before you know it, time runs out. The Changretta family has been running on borrowed time lately. And before they could realize it, they had to go back on the streets.

It's been around a month and a half since her father passed. Everything in her screams at her to stay in their family home for a little while longer.

She would be lying if she said that she didn't try to stay, but she has been reminded that people will forget her face. When people start forgetting who you are and what you do, there is no reason to keep going.

She breathes in the morning air. The early morning chill stings her lungs before she decides to go inside. Everyone is packing, and chaos is to be seen everywhere. She goes to her room and changes into her usual clothing while trying to ignore any family members.

Once she's ready, she rejoins them in the living room, where they were checking everything over. "Where is Su?" Gia's nephew asks her, referring to her uncle.

Gia smiles at the 8-year-old and goes to search for her brother. She knocks on his door when she hears shuffling on the other side. "For fuck's sake, Angel. If you're fucking again, I'll castrate you." She yells through the door.

When suddenly a very ashamed Anna and Angel leave the room with red cheeks, they're all ready to leave for the harbor.

The plan is that almost all the bookmen and others will settle in Birmingham, such as Gia. All the workmen will go back on the streets, such as Luca. They're separating to create a bigger view of the people and lead them that way. Teamwork, if you will.

They're coming back bigger and stronger than ever. Word of her father's passing traveled fast, so when the Changretta's feet were back on their soil, people came running to them in masse.

Her father was loved by everyone, so it isn't a surprise to her. That's a thing that Gia and Tommy have different.

Tommy wants people to fear him. He wants people to shiver at the sound of his name. Gia wants people to still look at her as a leader, but one they can put their trust in and share their ideas with.

They already had people finfish constructing Mario's buildings, but the office building is closer to London, Banbury. Luca will go back to New York, and Angel will stay in Rome. The siblings are now within reach of having their business take a fresh start.

With a new business starting in the name of her father, they're all going to avenge him. For that, Gia separates from her men and steps off in London to go see an old friend. Foot by foot, she walks the streets of Camden Town to come to a stop at a local bakery.

She walks up to a slim-looking man who stands against the door. "What do you want?" the obviously Jewish man asks her. "I'm here to see Alfie." The man nods and lets her through.

He leads her to a group of men and tells her, "No weapons in the building." She takes a gun out of her purse and looks at the man.

He comes forward to search her, but she stops him by saying, "If you even think about getting your filthy hands on me, I'll cut your throat." her Italian accent slipping at the end of her sentence.

"Right, this way." The man opens his arm to let her go through a door. While walking through the big doors, she hears a man whisper to another. "What the fuck has he done now to be doing business with the Italians?"

Which makes the corners of her mouth form a smile. It feels great to be in power again.

When they finally come to his bureau, his door is already open for her to go in. She walks in and hears the man say, "He will be here in a minute." She turns around and exclaims sternly, "Tell him that I don't have a minute." Which makes the man run off to get him.

She sighs as she sits down in the opposite chair. She hears his fast walk down the hallway getting louder and louder. His walking seems to be accompanied by a cane. "Right, what did you want to talk about?" He asks as he swings with his hands while sitting down in front of her.

As good as Alfie Solomons is at barricading his feelings, she can sense that he's nervous with an Italian within his walls. The fact that she's a woman seems to calm him down slightly, though.

"I'm here for business." She starts. Alfie starts to laugh quite loudly, which makes her frown. "Fuck no." He changes his demeanor in a matter of seconds.

"I know there is some bad blood between you and Angel, but think about it: I could order my brother to stop this little war that's going on, or I could do exactly fucking nothing. I gotta tell ya' it doesn't take a smart man to know that you're struggling." She explains.

"Fuckin' ridiculous." He sighs loudly as he leans back against the backrest of the chair.

"Is it? The people don't trust your protection anymore; you're losing money on the rum. You could, of course, kill me, but do you really think that would help your position on the streets?" She questions him as she recalls that his weapon is under his table.

"Coming here alone, strong woman you are." He tells her. "If you offer me more than 80 men, with or without weapons, I can ensure this war is over." She insists.

"Let me recap this: you order, right, because you're not asking me anything nicely, it seems. So, you order for me to give my men, which belong to me."

"Whilst you sit in my fucking chair, my very nice chair, right, and tell me that I'm losing my people, while you ask for reinforcement? That doesn't sit right with me." He tells her loudly.

"Is giving over 80 men worth it if you know that you already lost half of your men?" He questions her as if the answer is very clear.

"It is if it doesn't make you lose the other half." She answers smartly. "Right, let's make a deal then. Whiskey means business, so drink up." He gives her a full glass.

"That's very kind, but I don't trust what first belonged to other people. I advise you shouldn't either." She puts her hand out for him to shake.

Gia walks out with a devilish look in her eyes and a smirk on her lips. Her plan is almost finished; there is only one man she has to meet next.
