He sat on the edge of his office chair, almost slipping away. She sat on the other side of the room. The silence made them able to hear each other's breathing and the pouring rain outside. Not a word to be found on each other's lips. Antonio and Roma decided sooner in the evening to leave the couple to talk. Though, Antonio was sure to have a word with them in the morning.

It was pitch dark outside, and hours had passed since the birds finished singing their last songs. The realisation hit Gia like a train riding on the wrong path. Her doom will never look like a fairytale. Her destiny was dark and filled with poison. Yet, Tommy's was worse. The sigh that escaped his mouth took her attention. She looked up to find a tornado with dreamy eyes and a broken heart.

In contrast to Gia, the only thing Tommy could hear were shovels. He remembered how happy he was when saw the blinding light after days of shovelling. The sound of trenching only got louder and hissed in his ears. No matter what he tried the sound kept on reverberating in his head, until he heard a honey-sweet voice and a soft hand on his neck.

Now bend over with his elbows placed on his knees, he opened his eyes. Her beautiful green eyes, which reminded him of the diamond on her finger, were searching for his. He placed his rough hand on the back of her neck and pulled her closer. Head's against each other, the couple closed their eyes.

"What happened?" She broke the silence Tommy was used to. He loudly sighed and backed his head away. "Thing are going to change around here." He admitted with a rough voice. His voice reminded her of the winter, it was cold, quiet, and stunned. "What are you talking about, Tommy?" She questioned.

When she got no response, but a look of Tommy. The look in his eyes was cold, but when he looked at Gia it was a different kind of cold. It was when you went to sleep with autumn but woke up with the winter kind of cold. You walk outside when the cold hit's you like a slap in the face, making your nose red.

She stood up from her kneeling position and locked her eyes with his. "This ring that you gave me is a way to a bigger promise. The promise that we're equal. If you can't hold that promise by keeping secrets from me. We will not be able to do this. I know you want me to be safe, but I've lived this life since the day that I'm born. There will be things that you won't be able to keep me from." She informed him as she stood up to walk out.

"We were attacked by order of Luca Changretta." He told her. Without turning around she voiced "He's my brother, I'll deal with it." He stood up and sighed "No, you won't." while he started to put away papers. "Excuse me?" She turned around. He put the papers down and toned "If you can't do it, it's normal. He's your brother. Let me deal with it."

Gia didn't answer at first which made Tommy rethink what he said. With a stern look on her face that gave away that she didn't like people dealing with her business she declared "I'll do what I have to do." and with a slam of the door, she was out off to their bedroom.

Gia didn't have an idea of the time but felt the bed shift slightly. She wasn't mad at Tommy but more irritated with the name she carried. She felt the warmness that the blanket carried escape as he got under it. Still too full of herself, she didn't open her eyes to acknowledge him. She felt his breath on her forehead, thereafter his full lips. "Goodnight Gia." He wished her.

She opened her eyes to see his deep eyes looking right at her. With both their heads on the cushions the couple looked at each other. "Let's take back what's ours." She whispered before she laid her head on his chest and closed her eyes. To say that he fell even more in love with her in that very second. The fire in her eyes and the confidence in her voice was enough to make a man like Tommy fall in love with her. Oh, what is she savage in satin, he thought.

The morning after, they would both go to their office. Only this time it was not separate. Tommy made sure she knew that what was his was also her's it was their office, their house, their love. Before they walked into his bureau while talking about places to build new offices she saw a tall woman work.

They both shared a vicious look. As the woman eyed Gia's figure up and down she saw her disappear into his office. When the door closed she could just make out the difference because of the ribbed window. She sighed and got back to work whilst only being a tear away from downfall.

Gia's heels sounded loud as she walked over to a chair. She took a cigarette out of Tommy's pack and lit it. As the smoke escaped her lips she stood up and walked over to him, leaving the smoke to dance around her face. He hadn't sat down yet so moved his chair that was in front of him for her to sit on. As she sat down he turned the chair around so she faced him.

With an erotic sent on her she asked "When are we going to London?" He placed the glass of whiskey he just got behind her on his bureau. Leaving her in the shadow of his torso as she could scent him. He took a drag of her cigarette and blew it in her face "Tomorrow." He answered. He was dangerously close to her.

She went in and kissed him. Making a moan escape his lips. That was the little extra reassurance she need to stand up and push him down on the chair. Without breaking the kiss she went down on him. As she started to feel like he was getting closer she stood up from her knees and sat herself on him, making sure both their moans were heard by his secretary.

Once the couple was done they cleaned up and started to work. After an hour Gia left him with a kiss as she needed to head to her own office. On the way out she stopped in front of the woman. "What's your name?" She questioned her. "Lizzie Stark." The woman answered a bit irritated. "Well, Lizzie, here is some work you need to finish by the end of the day for my fiancé." She placed the paper Tommy gave her on the table and left Lizzie irritated.
