Gia doesn't speak a word on their way back home. The only moment her eyes move is when the point she fixates outside has gone by, and she needs to search for a new point. Tommy notices her quietness, but also knows better then to say something about it when there are others in the presence. Once they arrive in Watery Lane, in the early afternoon, all men jump out of the car.

Tommy can feel Gia look at his side profile, so he decides to turn around. The second their eyes meet, Gia's pupils enlarge. He concentrates on the luminous point in her eyes, but also let's himself look at the larger picture, her face, the worry that and need for rest that embraces it.

He sighs and leans in to kiss her forehead, as if it will be enough of a replacement for the words he's lacking.

"What about my surprise huh?" She a soft smile show up on her lips. "That's for later, but I know how you can do a big favour to Polly. Come on." He answers as he stands up to get out of the car.

Gia doesn't understand it at first but can't hide her natural smile on her face as he takes her inside. This morning they passed via the betting den but now they seem to go through the front door.

When he opens the door Gia isntantly hears barking. He get's out of the way to show her beautiful dog. "Ah, Stella." She smiles as she gets down on her knees to hug and pet the dog.

It might have been crazy for others but Gia has terribly missed the company the dog gave her. "I've got some things to deal with, you stay here." He tells her. She turns around and smiles.

It's only once he starts to walk away that she voices "Sometimes you need to silence the gun in that head of yours." He turnes around and sees that she's still playing with her dog.

Not long after does Gia hear the front door open and sees Arthur come in. He looks different from this morning as if somebody exchanged his thoughts out. He sits down in the single-seat and drinks from Gia's cup of tea.

She seats herself back on a seat in front of him to get his attention and to get off the ground. He doesn't say anything, which makes her stand up to give him some space.

When she turns around to go to the kitchen she hears a subtle cry leave his lips. She slowly turns around to make sure she's hearing him right. Another one is heard louder and clearer then before.

She slowly walks up to him and places her arm on his shoulder. After a couple of seconds, he looks up. Her eyes soften at his pain, he looks broken.

He softly puts his head against her stomach and starts to cry even louder. Gia's hands lay on his shoulders to sooth him.

She says his name twice after a couple of minutes, to get his reaction. "Arthur." She says out loud after he doesn't budge. He lifts his head from her belly and stops crying with a heavy head.

Gia sits down on the chair behind her and looks him in his eyes "What's wrong?" He looks her back in the eyes and starts pacing "Head's like a fucking boat, Gia. It's heavy and sinking because of the cargo. Sometimes it slips to one end and the boat tips."

He goes on "In those moments I feel it slipping and there is nothing I can do to stop the boat from tipping over." Gia sighs "My brother takes medicine or something for it."

"Tommy threw it away." He tells her. "And Tommy's always right." He mumbles to himself. "This isn't about who's right. This is about what you want." She explains as he sits back down.

"What should I do?" He asks with his head in his hands. "Ask that to yourself and if you can't get it sorted out ask yourself how many people's lives have I ruined because of it."

Her hand goes on top of his before standing up. "When Tommy's done tell him I went home." She opens the door and leaves the house with mixed thoughts and her dog.
