DON'T LOSE YOUR HEAD

Enzo departed to Los Angeles to start the shooting at Tom Hanks' movie as director. He travelled with Duncan and Taron but he decided, as always when he landed in American lands, that Taron could stay a while with his family in Philadelphia. This way Duncan did his job at full time.

Enzo had a melancholy halo than only disappeared when he started to express himself playing his part. He couldn't wait to work with Hanks. There was a special connection between them and thanked every day to being able to have such an enriching boss in his life.

He looked at himself in the big mirror, in his trailer. They had done a good job with his eyes in the makeup session. So big and expressive as they were, with that magnificent kohl line added giddily suggestive glance. He had already put on his head the characteristic turban. Several folds of chiffon and over them three grey heron feathers. It was so heavy but Enzo was one of those actors who rather squeeze his roles through the suffering.

- Hello, Soliman. Would you give me audience? – Pauline questioned him, poking her blonde hair out of the half open door.

Enzo gave her a sparkling smile looking at her through the mirror.

Yes, Tom Hanks had it clear since the beginning. He would be his Soliman The Magnificent without question and he couldn't say No. They had spent a lot of hours talking about that legendary character from whom he had never heard about before. Tom Hanks, apart from great actor and a warm and close person, had the gift of the persuasion, like a shrewd politician in campaign. He had followed Enzo's career closely and he thought he was perfect for the role. The only one who could give it credibility with those fire eyes that almost didn't need a script and defend the complex personality of the Turk sultan.

He took not even ten minutes to persuade him it was a gift role for his career. Tom knew perfectly well the ground he was treading. He was an actor himself and knew what role played the ego in the show business. If you could persuade an actor that one role could take him to win an Oscar, probably you activated his point G instantly.

Enzo not only was ambitious and had an important ego. Let's say Hanks grabbed him in such a stage of his life in which he needed throwing himself to the void and open a breech in his career. So far he was deeply entrenched as one of the best actors of his generation. Able to pull out all the stops with his several characters. He had worked with cult directors, wild and outrageous directors, directors in great productions. He had settled an "Enzo Efseryan label" that was characteristic for flying the flag of unclassifiable.

Now he felt like a slightly different Enzo from earlier stages. His essence was the same but the circumstances in his life drove him to gaze upon the abyss a little bit more. For a while, Soliman started to increasingly take his soul till he thought he was enough drunk of him to perform that role. At this stage he was completely identified with each one of the steps the Turk sultan took in his life.

- I'm not gonna give you a kiss, I might spoil your makeup.

- Come, foolish girl. Come here.

Enzo pursed his lips waiting for Pauline's.
