I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF THIS SAME OLD GAME

Inside, inside. Please, let me back inside. Tarek was so stunned with the discouraging news that he was unable to come to terms with it now, he just spun his head about that seemingly thoughtless Enzo's sentence.

Although they both could be ready unconsciously to that new blow, the word cancer was again in their lives and they couldn't ignore it.

Enzo told Carl to drive him instantly his parent's home after running away like cat on embers from doctor Deacon's consultation. They would be the first people to know it.

When Enzo curled up like a worm against his mother's belly while her fingers raked gently his short dark hair, Tarek suddenly understood his strange sentence.

Enzo just wanted to get back to his mother's womb. Hiding himself there, safe and sound, with no troubles, with no diseases, without operistic dramas. He just wanted to be again that happy unborn child who once was. Some amniotic fluids and peace and quiet. Please, let me back inside.

His parents were wonderful. Simple people full of love. They could be narrow minded and hardliners about his son's sexuality but finally all the ways led into love. They had accepted reluctantly having a gay son and denied to attend the wedding but they were good people. They treated Tarek very warmly, as though he was just another Enzo's friend having some tea. Maybe it was just their defense mechanism but the truth is Tarek felt loved and cared by them.

They were also strong people and it was a feature that surely gave to their son. Their physical strenght was noticeable. Amir was 70 years old and Darya 64, but they looked younger. They gave to Enzo those genetics. He didn't look like he had turned to 42 years old. Besides, it was their mental and spiritual strenght, equally important. It was clear where Enzo's strong will and ability to fight came from.

Enzo was extremely familiar. Despite having lived outside of his country, his parents and sister were central for him. He had spent all his professional life trying to protect them more or less luckily. The press had relatively left them alone but the main thing he worried him was they could read all the time unpleasant things about him. The constant exaggerations of British tabloids that when they got published, he didn't feel like scotch them.

Tarek had told him several times it was the right time to tell each other's parents they were HIV positives. Enzo encouraged Tarek to do it, stating his parents were more open minded than his and it was less difficult for him. But Enzo thought in his particular case it was useless loading them with that information at this stage. It was a disease related to a specific lifestyle and he rather not disturb them. This cancer was a consequence of his hepatitis C, other disease that they weren't aware of and related too his promiscuity. He regarded more wisely keep them in the dark.

After his visit to his parents and spending some time with them, it seemed to calm him down a little. Taking advantage that he could talk to him again in rational way, Tarek advised him to call doctor Deacon as soon as possible. After his runaway from his consultation, they had no chance to talk about the problem quietly.

This time Enzo and Tarek were guests in John's house. The latter lived in a beautiful mansion in Belgravia district with Veronica and their six children. The last one was barely one year old.

Enzo adored that family and that cozy and bright kitchen always smelling wonderfully.

If he had been a straight guy and not a brainless and seropositive gay, probably he would like to have this kind of family. Besides, he adored all his children because they were surely the best well-mannered. He could rest assured when they got into his house because he knew they wouldn't break anything.
