IT FINALLY HAPPENED

Well, it finally happened. After more than a year and a half writing this story, as usual, I must say good-bye my characters with whom I've been living each single day.

All the wattpaders who are reading this and write surely know what I mean. It's a funny feeling, peculiar. It's like saying good-bye your loving one at the airport aware of you'll never touch him again.

I'm reluctant to end my books. Each one has its own rhythm and this one has been quite intense and long. I'm in love with my characters and now I let them free.

The writing process was highly educational. On researching I've come to know a wonderful man called Freddie Mercury. I thought I knew a lot about him but I was so arrogant. I didn't know anything. With each new reading, each show, each interview, each lyrics, he was giving me a writing pattern. He was showing me his soul through his "Oh, dear", "Darling" and "Don't be ridiculous". Through his dimple in his right cheek and his fierce wonderful eyes. His wiry and powerful body on catsuit

He's been one of my richest and most interesting leading characters and I'm eternally thankful to him. For inspiring me that way and writing this 2900 pages of pure happiness.

Calling the book Mr. Bad Guy was beyond how much I love that song and that Freddie solo album. That song lyric is so inspirational, that torrent of honest feelings that his lyrics were about. It has that frivolous touch, the sarcasm, the tenderness and the Philarmonic of Munich totally wild. Expressing a period in his life, his Munich years, particularly frantic, creative and according someone around him, quite dangerous.

Mr Bad Guy is a great way to self-describe yourself and it seemed to me coherent with the story I wanted to tell. Describing yourself as Mr. Bad Guy is revealing, taking into account the generosity, the gentleness and the vulnerability spilling over the brim. And I don't have any doubt he could be a really bad guy; whimsical, controller, of course. He had his dark and wild side as every genious. A real bitch, as he said.

That's the book is all about. Writing about that huge cocktail of ingredients that conformed his personality.

I hope from that beautiful heaven of the prematurely kidnapped genious he doesn't disagree about my Enzo Efseryan portrayal.

What can I say about him? It's such a sweet character. His complexity allows you a lot of twist and turns, a lot of surprises. Freddie is a compelling literary character as very few. He has the set of three that I require for my masculine characters: he's sexual and sensual, emotional and moody. He might be one of the strongest characters. As though he flew about like an angel whenever I opened my laptop to text the words and he helped me tireless.

I can't finish my acknowledgement chapter without quoting the other character, Tarek. Well, I know some of you know this character is freely based on Jim Hutton, Freddie Mercury's last lover. I really think Jim was a blessing for Freddie in the last part of his life and that's what I meant when I created Tarek. That's my particular homage to that good Irish man. God bless him too.

If you are reading this, I sincerily hope, maybe it means you have read the whole book. If you have, I thank you. There are just a few things more rewarding than someone reading your own work.

I hope seeing you in the next inspiring adventure.

ANNEX: if you have arrived till the end of the story, I really apreciate it and admire you because it's a little bit too intense. And if you like Freddie and my writing, I let you know I can't get rid of him yet. So if you like, take a look to my series Turn back the Time, babe. This time the leading character is Freddie Mercury, no alter ego. Health to all.
