Enzo read it all. He read the four scripts. He took his time for it. He even denied to have some dinner while he passed the pages eagerly. So Tarek decided to having dinner beside him and put into his mouth little bites as though he was a little bird in its nest. After hours of non-stop reading and the four scripts finished, he thought he must choose one of them. He had such a rush of adrenaline after so many hours without rest that woke up Tarek to read again the scripts. They started to read them again.

- What do you think? -he asked biting his nail's index finger.

- I still love them.

- No, that couldn't be -Enzo said impatient standing up and restless, walking around the room -. The second readings give new points of view to our opinions. You must have a more accurate idea about what's the best.

- You need to have an opinion. Don't you have it?

- Yes, sure. But you know I need yours. And I'm asking Duncan's opinion when he wakes up.

- Ohhh, you won't wake him up. Very pretty.

-Should I wake him up?

- Enzo, I mean it. Did you smoke something while I was sleeping? Calm down. You can read them again tomorrow more calmly and you can make your choice. Ok?

- It's not so easy, darling. There are things I'm crazy about each one of them. I know what could make shine every character. My brain is brimming over ideas. Look up my writings -he waved on the air a notepad full of his peculiar handwriting full of cross-outs.

- I can see it but you should sleep a little bit, my love.

- No, no. I must call Pauline.

- You are not serious. Let her sleep, for Christ's sake. She has a child.

- What's the difference?

He sent Pauline a detailed report about his readings in the middle of the early morning. She had muted the phone, she didn't want to yield to Enzo's whims but as usual, the actor could be sickly persistent and he knew deep down, after quite a few years of relationship, Pauline couldn't resist to please him.

- Enzo, it's five in the morning. What's up?

- Didn't I tell I was going to call you?

- You might need only three hours of sleep but I don't. I have a child to take care, you know?

- Funny, it's just what my husband has told me. Is Charlotte alright?

- Yes.

- You said taking care. She's sleeping right now, isn't she?

- Oh, Enzo. You don't understand what the maternity involves, love. I'm not gonna start to explain to you. What did you want to tell me?

- A lot of things...

At the other side of the phone, Pauline rolled her eyes and waited for him to pour on her his illusions and insecurities.

Enzo found it really difficult. Sometimes actor's lives could be very hard when they didn't have any jobs or when their jobs didn't please them. That profession involved a lot of different emotions and they used to be people in eternal conflict with themselves. Enzo's status after winning a deserved Oscar didn't turn his career into a bed of roses. Sometimes having in front of you four magnificent scripts could cause an enormous stress. Enzo was feeling stress and that's what drove him to call Pauline. He wanted to do those four films but that's not possible. The four projects would take place in similar dates. He must make his choice.

Maybe an actor wishing to find the part of his life and with poor offers to say Yes to keep going, would go through these same feelings. After all actor's job was so risky as though they would always walking on the line. Enzo, with his personal intensity, had to come to terms with it. Making his choice with his brain or with his bowels and trying to forget about those other three projects that he couldn't do.
