The theatre was addictive. Being an actor was a constant craving for being seen and it was even more true in the theatre format. There was a bit of a narcissistic pleasure in it and Enzo was living all that with such intensity.

Each night he got drunk with Brick, he grew wrathful with Brick, fell in love with Brick and got frustrated with Brick. Brick was one of his most key characters. With each play he discovered new subtleties about him and sometimes he included little new details he came up with.

That drove Lena particularly mad and made her meow turned into a roar. Although she was also unpredictible and out of control sometimes over the stage. They formed one of the most solid and good looking couples in the actual theatre scene.

- Let that be the last fucking time you're doing that. I've stopped to being focused the rest of the play for your bloody fault.

- Could you try not to say rude words? You are very offensive. And the next time knock before enter.

- Fuck off.

- And you file your nails before even touch me. Last night you went too far. Have you clear, unbearable diva?

- Here the only diva is you. All the gays are the worst divas in the world.

- Keep your homophobic words, dear. Besides, you could never offend me, so...

Luckily the play was a success and every night was sold out because Andy, the director, hadn't ever met before on stage such two comparable forces of nature.

It didn't amount to much in the rehearsals but sometimes he thought how he had come up with the idea of making them work together again. Nevertheless, now seeing them every night, proved him the risk was perfectly permissible. Sometimes the artistic aspect in life demanded that irrepressible passion, that aim to tear down clichés, to break new grounds. Both were a living proof of that.

All the heated arguments in which they seemed never made an agreement and at last they got it, the frequent visits to the rest room to smooth things over, as Andy called it, to work out their ego conflicts. All that had helped to give some superb performances.

The theatre was tiredsome and Enzo sometimes came out to the stage with his strenghts dwindling. Thinking at any moment the crutch would give way and he'd collapsed on the stage. Despite Brick only drank water all through the play, there were times in which Enzo asked the artistic team to pour his glasses with his Stolichnaya to stand the pain that appeared once in a while in his side.

The success was so great that after three months they've been offered another three months extensión at the Novello owed to the great demand of tickets.

Enzo's body ached for a rest but his mind and heart were totally hooked to the stage.

His inner demons and his doubts kept them to himself. The hour and forty minutes were so electrifying to later on diving into the standing ovation, that he was an addict to it despite all his ailments. The adrenaline went up to his brain like the foam of a beer and he couldn't calm it down till some hours later. And when it was all down he said to himself: "Enzo, this is your last time. You won't make it again".
