ENZO EFSERYAN(FREDDIE MERCURY) IS A PROMISING MOVIE ACTOR WHO IS AT A CROSSROADS IN LIFE WITH HIS GIRLFRIEND PAULINE AMOS (MARY AUSTIN). APPARENTLY THE END OF IT ALL, IT WILL BE JUST THE BEGINNING OF A NEW LIFE FOR THE ACTOR.
MY PARTICULAR HOMAGE TO...
Enzo was at his wits' end. His intention was not losing his friendship but Tarek was making things real hard. The wall he had built against him was unapproachable. He suspected whatever he did, started to suck all the fun out of it. He was unable to get to him. He felt himself useless. In someone with such a big self-esteem as Enzo, that endless failure could be a heavy load. But by instinct, despite his obvious vulnerability, he could recover fast from the distresses life brought him.
It started the autumm and there were increasingly more voices talking about his Oscar nomination. It would be the third time he was nominated and this time it could be the one. In any case he would know it at the beginning of the year. Those good news for his career and a lot of projects on the horizon waiting to take shape, made up for his sadness. And to improve everything, Chris had invited him to his house in Rye, in East Sussex, southeast England.
Since their last conversation rather tense hadn't met again. They didn't apologized each other but that invitation seemed like a sort of white flag.
Enzo hated long trips by car and visiting to Rye would last at least two and a half hours. For someone so impatient as him that was an odyssey and such a boredom. But at last after his persistence, he accepted. He missed him. Their outrageous relationship was the only healing to his open wound by Tarek. Not having Chris near to support him was killing him.
- I wanted to tell you looking at your eyes -Chris said taking his hand softly.
- Well, say it, don't do this to me.
- My AIDS test is negative.
- Have you made it three times to...?
- I've made it all the appropriate times. All were negative.
- Oh, my love. I had such a heavy load over my heart -he huffed out a relieved sigh.
- I know, forgive me for being the biggest asshole -he pushed him against his lips cupping his face.
- It doesn't matter. Now it's all fine.
- No way. You have the virus. It isn't all fine. Life can be so unfair with both. Don't you think?
- Maybe -he said with helpless gesture.
- Is Tarek also infected? -he asked as he grabbed between his fingers the embroidery fabric os his shirt.
- Leave Tarek aside, please -he spurted out-. Whether he is sick or not, it's not of your business.
- I'm sorry. I didn't ask sort of gossip or something.
- I would like being able to forget him just a few hours. Can you do that for me?
Enzo fondled softly behind his ear with half sexy smile and those eyes with that beautiful glow. Chris wasn't made of stone to resist that. He replied him just with another quiet half smile.
- I know I am someone very dangerous. If you tell me you don't have any condoms you have your alibi, my friend.
- Oh, Enzo. You can't imagine how many things are inside of my bathroom's cupboards.
Enzo let out an hysterical scream wrinkling his beautiful nose.
- Then won't you reject me?
- Darling, I'm seronegative, not idiot.
It started to getting dark. Enzo's panting breath was in synch with Chris's over his back, tracing tiny, weary and wet kisses all along his spine. Enzo, face down, hung lazily his soaked head over the bed hanging down his tired arms.
None of them could talk. They were speechless for hours. There was only time to kisses, caresses, bites, scratches, lickings. All the cataloge.
