THE BLACK FAMILY Chapter Eleven
Pettigrew was hit with a binding curse that sent slithers of what looked like snakes travel across his body until they reached his ankles and wrists which were then tied together. He shot annoyed expressions across the room and began to wail to draw attention to himself.
"Oh shut up you big baby," Sirius groaned, "Silencio!"
On the way out of the cabin, Ron, Hermione and Harry were happy to make conversation but Arabella stayed silent, trudging behind the lot of them through the tunnel at a slightly slower pace to think things through. Her parents knew to give her space (which she was incredibly grateful for) so much had happened in the past twenty minutes that it was hard to keep track of it all.
Her parents weren't actually bad people, she had actual parents for once. And now that Pettigrew would be captured and tried for his crimes, did that mean that she would get her family back? That would definitely be rather peculiar, after what felt like thirteen full years of suffering, crying and hand me down clothes, she would be finally loved by someone.
She nervously glanced ahead at Sirius and Maya, both smiling joyfully, and wondered what this moment must feel like for them both. They had finally been Re-United with each other and their daughter after at least thirteen years, and to find out that Sirius hadn't betrayed them both must have been a massive relief for Maya.
Arabella thought about this for a little longer, a burning hatred fro Peter Pettigrew inevitably grew inside her. He was the man who framed her parents, he was the real reason Lily and James Potter were dead, He was the reason neither of them had parents or at least not known them up until this moment.
The group resurfaced at the foot of the whomping willow, the light fiercely stinging her eyes. Peter was carried out and laid by one of the many large, twisted roots of the tree and held at wand point by Professor Lupin. He kindly offered the group a weary smile before returning to silence the muttering Peter.
Hermione and Harry tended to Ron's wounds and because Arabella was rather squeamish, she offered her moral support which she wasn't exactly brilliant at either.
"You alright Hermione?" Harry questioned amidst the utter chaos that was surrounding them all.
"Huh?" Hermione's head swung up instantly, recognising whose voice it had belonged to, "oh yeah don't worry, just a bit dazed from what happened today if I'm honest..."
"Same." Arabella blurted out unexpectedly. The trio turned to look at her and she immediately realised she had interrupted Hermione, "Sorry, it's just all a bit... you know ...I mean I thought my dad was a murderer my whole life and then this bloody happens, it's all just a bit confusing if you know what I mean but... brilliant at the same time."
