THE DRAGONS
Chapter Thirty One

"Arabella Black. I swear, if you're not ready within the next ten seconds, I'm going to go without you, leaving you clueless in a constant state of-"

"Okay, slow down on the rant grandmother, I'm going to need you to cut me a little slack you know, especially since we have half a god damn hour." Arabella huffed, stuffing herself into a coat, rushing to finish getting herself ready under Hermione's intense pressure, "oh no, you know what I forgot?"

"What." Hermione's eyes widened in horror, baffled at how long a person could take to get changed.

"My jeans are way too tight, I must have picked up the wrong pair by accident," She smirked as the girl's face fell instantly, "I think that means I'll have to choose a brand new outfit..."

"Okay that's it, I'm leaving." She exclaimed rather angrily, waving her hands above her as she exited the dorm room, keen to avoid Arabella's laughter echoing after her.

She smiled to herself, the jeans were actually fine, but all she needed really was to sort her hair out, but Hermione undoubtedly would have pulled her face at the suggestion so it was easier for her to leave without Arabella. After all, it was in her nature to show up fashionably late.

Arabella pondered around the vanity for a minute, before pulling out a chair and reaching for their shared cd case hidden beneath Sage's bed which was relatively close to where she was sat. She sifted through the piles of silver disks, tugging at her lip as she attempted to decide.

She had her heart set on the Smiths or the cure, but after a couple of seconds she decided that she was in a more of an Oasis mood and selected the first one that touched her hand, Definitely Maybe.

Her and Sage had treasured the album since they had heard live forever on the radio for the first time and sped to the nearest HMV and bought one each. She set it in the CD player and skipped to her favourite, shakermaker.

I'd like to be somebody else and not know where I've been.
I want to build myself a house out of plasticine.
Ah, shake along with me.
Ah, shake along with me.

Arabella lightly pressed her hand to her forehead cooling her down a little as thoughts swarmed her mind. What the hell was she going to do about her parents, how the fuck was she supposed to tell her mother that she had found out her great aunt married flaming lord Voldemort?! Not exactly ideal but there wasn't exactly any other way to phrase it.

It had played on her mind for quite a while, but maybe, just maybe, it was actually a sign to finally clear up her mind about the whole situation. To possibly write a letter explaining everything to her mother, maybe then she could feel a little better.

But it could wait just a little while longer.

Her curling wand had cooled down, and her hair looked moderately decent enough for her to leave her room with. So she grabbed her coat and switched off the stereo, attempting to shove on her shoes as she left the room, closing the door behind her.
