THE GOBLET OF FIRE Chapter Twenty
There was barely any time left at all for Arabella to catch up on her sleep after the tragic events that had occurred, and also the added pressure that the five of them reached the burrow at around half two in the morning, leaving only five hours left to try and soothe her mind. But no matter how hard she tried, everything just started playing up once again. At first it was the image of the evilly green dark mark casted across the nights sky that kept her from sleeping, but memories of the rest of the evening seeped through the cracks of her brain and into her daydreams.
So Arabella woke up with around one and a half hours of sleep under her belt and another freshly new thing to enjoy overthinking about for what was likely to be the next couple of months or so. But unfortunately for her, she was one to keep her feelings and thoughts locked away behind what felt to be a deathly iron door in the back of her mind where she trapped her thoughts, menacingly looming there and ever so often threatening to mess with her day. So her dreaded chat with Dumbledore was definitely to be an entertaining one, one way or another.
Apparently Molly Weasley could do just about everything, and luckily conjured up a rejuvenating spell that did a great deal for Arabella's appearance which before the spell somewhat resembled one of a zombie. She spent the next hour that she had to herself making sure that she looked okay, and slipped on her jeans, dangly silver hoop earrings and a daringly small crop top which earned a few slight flares from Mrs Weasley.
"Now, I'm sure you are all aware that you will need some form of dress robes for a special event during Christmas time, so make sure that you keep these nice and safe." Mrs Weasley spoke busily, handing out blotchy packages to each of the Weasley siblings still attending Hogwarts, "Arabella dear, you know about your appointment with Dumbledore and Mr Fudge I'm sure?"
"Sorry," Arabella spluttered, "Mr Fudge?"
"Yes, yes," She shooed everyone along the corridor and out of the front door, "at least you know about it, now hurry along now or you will all miss your train!"
She made herself sure to grab Sage's flannel jacket on the way out which she had planned to return back to her as soon as they met at the train station which was surprisingly quiet for that time on a Monday afternoon, aside from the bustling coming from between platforms Nine and Ten. It looked as if there was some form of a very short self sufficient queue going along the side of one of the walls of the barriers, and the Weasleys joined it eagerly as they waited their turns.
"Bloody hell Arabella," Ron spoke to her for what felt to her like the first time since they dated leave the house, "what on earth did you do to get in a meeting with Dumbledore and the bloody minister for magic?"
