THE QUIDDITCH WORLD CUP
Chapter Eighteen

Cedric, Mr Weasley and Amos Diggory all miraculously survived the treacherous port-key journey and both Arabella and Harry, who were sprawled out uncomfortably across the grass, watched with awe as all three of them made it down elegantly without even a stumble.

Arabella pushed herself up onto her elbows, squinting as she surveyed what seemed to be the ever growing land before her eyes. What looked to be at least a hundred thousand tents at least were scattered about the vast plains of abandoned fields overlooking the steep, crumbling white cliffs which sheltered the land from the supposed sea.

The twins had already gotten up off the ground, closely followed by Ginny and Hermione who generously lent her hand to Arabella who gratefully accepted it, pulling herself up off the moderately dry grass floor. She brushed off her clothes, watching as Cedric himself helped up Harry.

"I bet that cleared your sinuses, eh?" Mr Weasley joked, aimed at everyone but himself.

Arabella nodded sarcastically, before spinning herself around and linking arms with Ginny once again. They had clearly grown a lot closer friendship-wise over the past few days, always confiding in each other wherever possible. She was definitely more than happy to welcome yet another strong friendship into her life, maybe she just was all that approachable and easy to talk to and people appreciated her for that.

"Total shambles as usual-" Mr Diggory continued, his hands on his hips as he shook his head disapprovingly at the scene unfolding before him. He was quite true in a sense however, as the campsite before them was just another level of manic, with people running left right and centre to pitch up tents, running after wild looking children, queuing at numerous different food stalls dotted about the place and more.

But if you looked past that, you could really see the beauty in it all. The random people zipping their way overhead and through the sky on broomsticks was truly a sight to behold, the sweet sound of music lifting up through the air and the smell of freshly baked goods definitely put a smile onto her face.

"Would you look at that!" Mr Weasley sighed as a fleet of quidditch players swarmed the skies, finally content with the situation, "Well kids, welcome to the Quidditch World Cup!"

They daringly entered the manically crowded place, the pathways swarmed with people so much so that the group had to stick together. It was quite nice though, if not surprisingly, as everyone seemed to be in an uplifted mood. And as they walked, Arabella noticed even more and more things about the site that she wouldn't have normally paid attention too.

"You're not on the Gryffindor Quidditch team, are you?" Cedric questioned, causing her to raise an eyebrow.

"Not a chance." She provoked, her arms folded against her chest.
