Chapter 28: Princess

I woke up later than usual so I quickly went to the bathroom and took a quick bath. The soap just slid through my body and then washed away by the running water.

I brushed my teeth and dried my hair at the same time, which wasn't easy by the way, and went outside to wear my uniform. Dali dali kong binutones ang long sleeve at sinuot ang vest. I woke up at 7:50 am and totally forgot about the meeting.

Today is Monday and there's a meeting before the class officially starts for the second semester. 8:40am ay dapat nandoon ka na. But here I am, fifteen minutes before the time, putting things in my bag before heading out of my room.

Ugh, I feel so frustrated. Hindi ko talaga kaya ang magmadali dahil I tend to forget things.

Hindi gumagana ng maayos ang utak ko, causing me to blank out and forget what to do next. I stood up and munched the sandwich.

I caught my breath after entering the auditorium. I chose a seat near the stairs and sat down and out of breath. I looked at my watch, I arrived exactly four minutes before the given time.

Ng makabawi na sa paghinga, I surveyed the room. I saw my sisters below, sitting on soft leather chairs with every princess and prince. That's why they weren't there when I got out. Kinailangan sila dito ng maaga.

A boy stood in the middle, holding a mic in his hand. He lightly tapped it, making everyone look his way. "Good morning students. A new semester has begun... and new sets of rules and royalties will be delivered."

Napatingin ako sa pintuan. See, that's why I can't afford to be late. Everytime a student comes in, they punch their name tags before they allow them to sit down.

This school really starts whether there are people or not.

"Okay... let's start with the updated rules." He casually looked at the whole crowd. "Curfew has been added once again." The crowd roared in frustration. What's there to be disappointed about? Was the curfew very strict here?

"You can't go out after 10pm, the metal doors will automatically close at the given time. There will also be guards roaming around the whole academy. Kapag naiwan kayo sa labas, you'll be sleeping in the detention room." Napakurap ako. Okay... that was a bit over the top. Metal doors? Parang makukulong kami, gano'n?

The sudden outburst of the crowd was so loud that even the man talking didn't have the chance to talk anymore.

"Doors will open at 6 am. So be mindful of the time once again, students. The next updated rule is about the training..." Past Simone would just be thinking about how she'll fail since she has no abilities whatsoever.

But things have changed. Too fast, might I add.

"You will only have a month of in-class activities. All five months will be alloted into intensive training and weapon handling. But here's the change," muli niyang tinignan ang buong auditorium. "The exam will be done after the first month instead of the usual last month of the semester."

The crowd started talking incoherent words I can't understand. Iba iba ito at sabay sabay. Paano ang exam namin? Will it be physical, or will it be a written one?
