Chapter 4: Kaizer

My eyelids fluttered and finally let the light in as I first squinted and checked the clock beside me. It's only seven in the morning. Classes start at 9.

I was about to go back to my slumber again but I smelled something good from outside. I think one of them is cooking something. I'm guessing eggs and bacon. I just smiled and rubbed my eyes.

Pumasok ako sa cr para maghilamos at magtoothbrush. I opened the cupboard where I put everything I use in the bathroom. The cupboard was also a mirror when it's closed. It's stylish and less space was used.

I soaked my face with the running water and then used my face wash. I got my face towel and gently removed the excess water.

I wore my slippers and head outside. I greeted them good morning and they boringly greeted me back. They're clearly not morning people. Ako lang ata ang nakamana kay mommy sa pagiging morning person.

Ate Angel's the one cooking and the other two are just sitting at the table. I smelled the garlic that was added into the rice. Lalo tuloy akong nagutom.

Sakto namang tapos na si ate at pinatay na ang kalan. Dito kami lagi kakain ng agahan dahil ayaw daw nilang maligo bago kumain. Our mom prepared a lot of goodies dahil alam niyang tatamarin ang mga ate ko sa pagkain ng breakfast kung sa cafeteria sila.

I sat adjacent to ate Carlene. Katabi ko ngayon si Ate Veronica na nakasubsob sa lamesa.

Inilapag na ni ate ang kanin, itlog at bacon. She cooked it just the way we liked it, crispy edges. The egg was also cooked like that. Although there was a scrambled one since Ate Carlene liked it that way.

After we had food on our plates, we said our graces and we started indulging in the breakfast we all like. There was silence lingering yet it was a comfortable one.

Si Ate Carlene ang naatasang mag-hugas ng plato dahil siya ang huling natapos kumain. I left the table and headed back to my room.

I got my towel and undergarments and headed to the bathroom. I only took a quick bath. Hindi ko na pinatagal pa tulad ng nakasanayan ko.

Pagkatapos ko maligo ay itinuyo ko ang buhok ko using a hairbrush that I brought. I plugged it and hastily dried my hair. Nang medyo tuyo na ito ay tinanggal ko na sa saksakan at lumabas na ako sa cr ng naka tuwalya lang. Although I already wore my undergarments.

Kinuha ko ang uniform ko at tinignan ito. It's a light blue long sleeve polo and a mini skirt. Mayroon ding neck tie at name tag. The name tag is a gold plate with my full name and a bar code. The barcode is actually a key to enter the rooms and also as a form of attendance. Teachers also scan ours to add levels. This school is very high tech.

Inilagay ko sa kama ang uniform ko. Kinuha ko ang black stockings ko at isinuot muna 'yon. Mga three inches above the knee lang naman ang taas nito pero hindi ako sanay na nagpapakita ng gano'ng karaming balat.

Tinanggal ko na sa hanger ang uniform at isinuot na ito. I buttoned it up and then wore the skirt. I tucked the polo inside the skirt.

Kinuha ko ang necktie at ang bag ko at lumabas na. Hindi ako marunong mag-necktie kaya magpapaturo pa ako.

Good thing Ate Veronica is already done. I asked her to teach me how and she removed her necktie.
