Chapter 49: Phoenix
Third Person POV
"So we're just going to fight the student, rate them and then see if they're capable of handling their abilities with ours?"
"Inulit mo lang sinabi ni Angel," he stated which earned a glare from Carlene. She made a mental note never to aid Jerome's wounds ever again.
Natawa si Harry sa naisip ni Carlene. Her mind's open so he heard what she thought about Jerome.
A thought crossed Harry's mind. "Sino yung student?" Harry asked. That student's family should be rich enough to gracefully pay the fees.
Angel's phone buzzed with a text message.
"Mahina sagap namin dito."
The phone was made by inventors so that they can create a wider coverage of communication wherein this phone can handle two signals: from the Earth, and from here, and it can create a device that works in both worlds with no interference.
Ngunit ngayon lamang nila na-perpekto ito at wala pa sa limampu ang nagawa kung kaya kaunti lamang ang nagkaroon, some of them are Harry, Angel, and Carlene. It can't get a signal from the Earth, therefore, rendered useless.
The school wanted them to point all their abilities and fight it all together. Kung ayun ang mangyayari, isn't the student going to lose? The ratio is too high.
Tumingin si Veronica kay Brian. "Baka na-train naman kasi siya ng maayos, but they can't use magic unless they have a license. So that's that." She shrugged and gave Angel back her phone.
"Still," pangangatuwiran ni Serena. "We've fought a war, and we graduated with flying colors. A twenty-two year old who didn't go to an academy can't be that strong." Her lips formed a thin line and her brow raised.
Aqua looked at her watch and saw that it's four minutes till 8:30pm. She slightly slammed the table and stood up.
The detention room is located below the school grounds.
They were in front of the door when they all stopped. In the end, Jerome opened the door widely and went inside first. Sumunod naman ang iba.
