Chapter 2: Mind Closure

Nakaupo ako ngayon sa sofa dito sa sala namin. Hinihintay ko sina ate na bumaba para makapunta na kami sa academy. Naririnig ko nga ang sigawan nila dahil sa mga gamit na hindi nila mahanap. Buti nalang ay natapos na ako mag-impake kahapon kung 'di ay makikisigaw din ako katulad nila.

Ayon kay daddy, may eight-hour time difference ang supernatural world at dito sa Pilipinas. Mabilis lang naman daw makapunta do'n, wala pang dalawang oras.

It's currently 7pm. If we head over the road before 9pm, and we'll be on the road for two hours, we will arrive at the academy at 7am, their time.

Nasa tabi ko na ang dalawang maleta at isang bag ko. Hindi kasi pwedeng umalis do'n. We are only allowed to leave the campus after a semester has passed. Last year ay nakakalungkot dahil wala sila ate dito ng siyam na buwan.

Wala akong ginawa no'n kundi pumasok sa open university kung saan ay online lang ako nakikipag-usap sa teacher. Inaalala daw kasi nina mommy na baka daw ay biglang lumabas ang ability ko at may masaktan ako. Reasonable naman siya pero I doubt na mangyayari talaga 'yon. I'm very against the thought that I'll gain powers when I reach the legal age. Because it's close to impossible. And aside from university, I also practice at lola's house every weekend.

There are not much people here in this subdivision kaya wala akong kilala dito.

My sisters finished packing at 8:20. Kumain muna kami bago kami tatahak sa daan. Hindi raw sasama sila mommy dahil sira nga ang isang kotse at dalawa ang kakailanganin namin. Isa para sa mga gamit at kami naman ang sasakay sa isa.

They brought two suitcases each. They also brought duffel bags and small bags. Habang pinapasok ang mga gamit namin sa isang kotse ay sumakay na rin ako sa isa pang kotse, and I sat in the back.

Once the car started moving, my heart started beating irregularly. I don't know if it's just motion sickness, or the fact that I'm going to a peculiar school as a normal person.

Kinukwentuhan lang ako ng mga ate ko tungkol sa Storm Academy and what to expect.

Storm Academy is actually hidden in the middle of a forest. Hindi ito makikita dahil matatayog at matatangkad din ang mga puno na nakapalibot dito.

Sa wakas ay nakarating na kami sa tunnel kung saan makakapunta sa kabilang mundo. This tunnel is hidden beneath an 'ongoing' building.

Nakalagay ito sa isang parte kung saan hindi gaanong napupuntahan. We entered the building and we went down on a slope where it connects all the existing tunnels on each part of the world, and entering ine big tunnel heading to the peculiar world.

The tunnel was big and long. Nakakatakot din dahil tanging mga reflectors lang at ang headlights ang nakabukas. Para tuloy kaming nasa isang horror movie.

When we were near the end, para namang kaming kuhuhanin ng liwanag. I closed my eyes when I came contact with the sun. The sun was so bright that I can't even open my eyes without getting blinded.

After I adjusted my eyesight, I laid my eyes to my newfound world. All I see are natural landscapes. May mga tao—I mean, peculiars din akong nakikita. I saw the town hall, markets, and some people doing magic. I'm still in awe with everything I see when we turned left.

Pumasok kami sa isang gubat. Mayroon namang sementadong pathway papunta do'n pero may isang intersection kung saan ay guguluhin ang pupunta sa academy. Depende daw ito sa trip ng kalsada kung saan ang tamang daanan. Kaya may binigay na papel kasama ang mga requirements na ibinigay sa amin.
