Chapter 5: Upper Kick
Calla was just talking about how my guardian is so handsome.
"I told you, accident lang nangyari 'yon.
The road there was quiet. It was serene. I just hear the birds chirping and the swaying of the trees.
I grabbed my bag and things and I headed out with Calla.
We parted ways when she needs to turn right.
After I scanned my tag, everybody looked at me. I was unsure whether I should sit beside the girls who were eyeing me head to toe, or the boys who are very noisy.
I chose a seat at the back to prevent the girls from looking at me like that. It's uncomfortable.
I took out my pen and notebook and just started scribbling down. I unconsciously drew an eye that doesn't look like one.
I'm just doing this to ease what I'm feeling. They're looking at me like I'm some sort of a prey.
If eyes could kill, I would be dead because of its ugliness.
Unlike the last page, I kept it clean. I can't think of anything to do in it. Sayang lang ang papel
Hashtag protect mother nature. Do not waste paper.
But even though I'm not doing anything, I did not lift my head upwards. I can still feel their stares at me, what more if I'll see it?
Bakit kaya nila ako tinitignan? Is it because I'm the only one who's new here? Or is it because of my face?
Hays, Calla I miss you already.
There was a man who I think is Kuya Jerome... if I remember it correctly. He was standing in the middle of the room, scanning everybody when his dark eyes landed on me. I saw how his eyebrows furrowed na parang may nagawa akong mali. I quickly diverted my stare at him.
The class went back to gossiping. I thought he was a popular student here but seeing him alone makes me think otherwise.
Gosh!
I heard the door open again so I looked at it again. It was now the professor.
He coughed, "Good morning class. I'm Sir Clynn and I'm your Advance Training teacher this school year. The new girl, please introduce yourself in front." I quietly stood up and walked in front. I looked at them who were intently waiting for me to speak.
