Chapter 43: Bloodbath

I can't hold the dome much longer. Lalong sumasakit ang tira nila tuwing nababasag ang dome. Hindi ko naman alam na may ganitong mangyayari, I just mimicked the orientation dome but then, I still lack lessons.

"That's the thing about trying hard heroes to save the day, akala nila na-save na nila, but then the villain, me," She said and pointed at herself. "Is always one step ahead of you."

I held my stomach when I felt another punch. "But somehow, at the end of the day, heroes always win," nahihirapan kong sabi. She scoffed and I saw how she kneeled down in front of me.

"Yeah, they're fiction," Umirap siya at umismid. "Of course writers are supposed to give the heroes the glory or whatever, but we won't know for sure unless this all ends, right?"

I felt liquid come down from my nose.

She laughed and touched my nose. Agad kong iniwas 'yon. "You do know I'm a vampire, right dear?" I nodded and stood up and removed the blood. Oh gosh, there's gonna be a minute left before it goes berserk.

"Break it Simone, you're hurting yourself," Ate Angel said and I nodded. I closed my eyes and inhaled.

'Once I break it, throw a large fire at them, Ate Angel and Jerome.'

And before my head even collided with the floor, a hand was there to catch me.

I closed my eyes and tried to regain my strength. I laid down on his arms for a hot minute. Gosh, it really burned me alive. And speaking of burn, I felt the hotness of the fire pass through us and the squeals of the vampires filled our ears.

"Want to know a secret?" I immediately opened my eyes and sat down, my head is still throbbing but I need to help them.

"You're not ok—"

"I'm fine, Harry. Thank you." I whispered and used his hands to help me get back up.

"You know that thing we talked about, dear? The one before the fire outbreak? I beg to differ." She grabbed a glass shard.

"I just think that it's true, that a happy life is well..." pinaglaruan niya ang hawak niyang bubog sa tuktok ng daliri niya. "Happy." She laughed and purposely pierced the glass to her skin.

Iniwasan ko siya ng tingin. I took a look at the vampires and saw them still getting rid of the fire. I exasperatedly sighed and just looked back at her, waiting for her next words.

"But not powerful so—"

"Just get to the point," naiinis na saad ni Jerome. As always, the hot-headed impatient one. I kinda missed that, even if it gave off more harm than good.

"Okay." She laughed. "Chill, chill! Blah blah blah, so while you're here telling me to sign a treaty, I've sent countless vampires to your precious little world already." My jaw dropped. I stared at them, wide-eyed, not knowing what to do with the information I just heard. They've infiltrated the other world, she betrayed me!

I glared at her, my eyes and hands heating up because of different things. I'm getting emotional once again, and I'm ready to burn my mother alive right now, here and there.
