Stay Away

Nagtaas ako ng kilay at kumunot ang noo nang salubungin ako ng anim ni prinsipe. Kasama ko ang dalawa pang nanny na katulong ko sa pag-aalaga.

"Kami muna ang bahala sa baby, you can have a rest for now," sabi ni Principe Rachim.

"Pero trabaho namin ito. Oras ng trabaho namin ngayon. Hindi kami pwedeng magpahinga lang," sabi ko.

Tumango-tango sila. "But we ordered you to do it and that's part of your job. Everything will be okay. We will call you if we need you already or if something happens that we can't handle. Is that alright?" sabi ulit ni Principe Rachim.

Tumingin ako kay Principe Raviro na tumango sa akin. Huminga ako nang malalim. "Okay, thank you for the break even though we don't need it."

Tumalikod na sila sa amin. I am still worried, if the princess pooped, they can't touch her. I need to be here. Lumingon ako sa tabi ko at nakitang wala na ang dalawa kong kasama. Okay, it looks like I am taking this break too. Hindi naman siguro ako mapapagalitan, the princes ordered it. Nagkibit-balikat ako at tatalikod na sana nang may tumawag sa pangalan ko.

"Kyra, wait!"

Lumingon ako at napangiti, it's Raviro. May hawak siyang cellphone at inabot niya sa akin iyon. Nagtataka akong tumingin sa kanya. "Anong gagawin ko rito, mahal na prinsipe?"

Ngumiwi siya. "Don't address me like that. It's weird and it makes me cringe. Raviro is fine."

Umiling ako. "That's not fine, Your Highness. You are a prince and I need to address you properly. Again, what will I do with this, Your Highness?"

Bumuntonghininga siya. Napansin ko ang pamumula ng kanyang dalawang tenga at naglakbay iyon hanggang sa kanyang leeg. May sakit ba siya?

"Are you alright, Principe Raviro?" tanong ko at hindi napagilan ang sarili na hawakan ang kanyang noo na kaagad ko namang na-realize na mali iyon kaya mabilis akong lumayo sa kanya at yumuko. "I'm sorry, Your Highness, hindi ko sinasadya. I was wrong with touching you without your permission. I'm so sorry."

He chuckled. "It's fine, it is not a big deal. I am just nervous, a little nervous?"

Tinagilid ko ang ulo ko. "Why?" Hindi naman siguro dahil sa akin, hindi ba?

Umiling-iling siya at huminga nang malalim. Inabot niya muli sa akin ang kanyang cellphone. "Can you put your cellphone number there? So that we can call you when we needed you already." Bakas sa ngiti niya ang kaba.

I prevent myself from smiling because I find him very cute and it is not good. It is still okay to find him handsome because he is really handsome but to find him cute? That's not normal. I never had a crush on someone.

Mabilis kong tinipa ang cellphone number ko sa kanyang cellphone. I named myself there as 'Nanny'. It should be fine. Binalik ko sa kanya ang cellphone at nagtaas siya ng kilay sa akin matapos mabasa ang nilagay kong pangalan.

"I am changing it. It should be 'Kyra'." He pressed his phone but I stopped him.

"It's fine. Nanny naman talaga ko rito. I am not special," sabi ko.

Umirap siya. "I am changing it because that two other nannies also put 'Nanny' as their name. So, how should I know who is this nanny I am talking to? And you are wrong, you are special. You are my friend, right? All friends are special, they might be different from one another but that's what makes them special. I only have a few friends, my brothers, Iesha, and then you. You are different from each other but you are all my friend," sabi niya at tumalikod na sa akin.
