Chapter 15: Miss Angelou

The target turned around as soon as she heard footsteps, it's as if she could foresee becoming a target. As soon as Aster's weapon was drawn, she was sure this was a fight. "What have we got here? A claymore, interesting". A green aura was detectable from her left hand, she got in close and seemed to draw energy for it.

"That got me prepared. Now tell me your name, boy? I like to be familiar with my targets.", the mysterious woman stated, showing no sign of fear. "Aster Orocha, and I have no desire to know your moniker, bitch." The lady just shrugged before drawing her own weapon, a bow and arrow. "Do you want to die in one shot? Or do you want a long torturous death?". The woman aimed her first arrow toward Aster's arm.

"I don't care, as if I'm going to die by a mere associate's hands!" Aster charged once more, striking the woman's pelvis with his claymore, only for it to shatter on impact. "Don't underestimate the power of strategy, it could be useful one day." Shooting the arrow into Aster's arm, the lady decided to draw more energy from her surroundings, including a nearby lamp light and a large bin.

Fleur could barely do anything but watch. Her only ability was broken, so she simply waited for the fight to be over, maybe someone's thoughts could flash and help her team, probably not though. Though in pain, Aster managed to get back up again, drawing the binding cloth that Rou lent him.

"Another weapon, is this all you've got you powerless freak?!". The woman was barely phased by Aster's attacks, thinking he had no other abilities, but eventually she'd find she was mistaken. "Stone forme!", the binding cloth and all but turned to stone, but was still flexible for Aster to use as stones were bound to the fibres of the binding cloth.

Using binding cloth, Aster attempted to capture the woman, only to have her shoot it with arrows. "It looks like you need to tie me up in order to defeat me, pathetic!" She drew a small dagger and began chopping at Aster's binding cloth, drawing energy from it as she spliced. "Try again, you definitely won't regret it later on!".

Aster attempted to capture her one last time, only to find his cloth was falling apart. "Only able to weaken inanimate objects I see, better keep splicing bitch, you won't destroy me entirely! I don't want to kill a damsel who doesn't know her abilities!". Aster's comment managed to enrage the lady, she threw her dagger toward Aster, hoping to stab him in the head, only for him to catch the weapon.

"Thank you kindly ma'am, now let's end this fight!". Aster's cloth was too weak for capture, so instead he used it to attempt to draw her in. The woman drew another 4 arrows, aiming at the binding cloth, smashing into every one of Aster's vines. "That'll put you a fine predicament." Aster just scoffed, he had 2 weapons at his disposal.

With his arms apart, running as fast as he can, Aster got in close range to his opponent, weapons pointed solely at her. His right arm was in agony and could barely lift the dagger. Struggling, he aimed his stab. Only for the green haired lady to lift him by the neck. "Get off me bitch!", her strength surprised Aster. "Why do you think I drew so much energy from your puny weapons? I have plenty of life force to lift you boy!".

Fleur could see where this was going with a brief glimpse of her thoughts. "Aster, throw the binding cloth around her!", she shouted, and he did. However, what Fleur didn't foresee was the inevitability of the next event that was to occur.

The associate heard Fleur's comment and evaded with ease, the sword fell on the floor, and using her feet, she drew every last piece of energy from the weapon. "May I finally introduce myself now you've gone quiet. The name's Ruby Angelou and you're about to feel-". From the distance, 2 figures were heard, and they were about to add chaos to Aster's path to winning the fight.
