Edward took to the centre of the hall, arms wide and proud. "Today we shall be conducting a formal duel between Fleur Feathering and Viper Riddle. As with all duels between members before, this will not be a fight to the death. We have four moderators on standby to ensure this doesn't happen; those being myself, Vox, Catoria, and a runt...", announced the boss. Aster looked offended, but kept it in for the sake of the duel going well.
Edward raised his hand and rushed into the stands, the fight had begun. Viper managed to grab the first move and created the vines she was known for, with their free hand, she grabbed onto the conjured vegetation and attempted to trip up Fleur. "So princess learned how to train, you trying to prove something? I'll knock you down before you have the chance!", she shouted in an attempt to intimidate the elf girl.
However, Fleur seemed unskaved, dodging flawlessly before chopping the thorny plants with her sword. "I didn't train to prove something to anyone, especially not you. I wanted to be stronger to defend this syndicate from every threat!". Fleur was slightly unsteady, but it was clear she could move a medium sized sword almost with ease. But could she keep up with every spell that Viper threw at her?
"Blokulicus misticus!", declared Viper, casting a spell. Suddenly, the room filled with a thick fog, and Fleur could barely see a thing. "D-damn it Viper, why must you be so lucky to have such power?", she muttered, desperately trying to wharf away the mist . The witch then casted another spell, causing long chins to form out of her wand, "Oh Fleur, are you ready to be captured early in this fight?", taunted Viper. Fleur felt uneasy with the thought of an impending loss.
Meanwhile, in the stands, Aster was squinting to try and get a glimpse of the 2 women battling it out. "How the hell am I supposed to know that one of them is on the verge of death if I can't see anything?!", called out Aster. "You will remain quiet until the duel is done you filthy intruder!", remarked Catoria. "Geez Catoria, now aren't you harsh today...", commented Vox.
Aster grumbled to himself, "It's fucking stupid that no one listens...", but the high ranking members took no notice of him, as they were too focused on the fight. "Look at you lot, you get an excuse to slack off, whereas I get death if anything happens. How unfair is that?! I bet you guys are so high up on your little pedestals that you're just blocking me out right now, eh?", Aster had had enough of the fight atmosphere and it had only been three minutes. Luckily, the fog had cleared at this point.
"So that's where you'd wandered off to, I guess now everyone can witness you in chains in clear vision.", called out Viper, still gripping the chains. "Not on my watch!", yelled Fleur, who struck at the metal formations with full force as she did with her vines. "Do you not know basic science?! Swords don't cut through metal!", chuckled Viper, fully convinced that what Fleur was doing was idiocy.
"My training didn't just involve flinging a sword about all day, I've done my research on various materials. The ground is already damaged from Aster and Rou's duel correct?", enquired the short elf. "Why...yes, what the hell is this about Fleur?!", questioned Viper in both confusion and annoyance. She continued to twirl her 4 metre long chain around the ring as Fleur kept hacking at it.
Eventually, Viper's hands felt a burning sensation, "Seriously Fleur, what is this?!", she pondered. The temperature kept rising within the chain, but Viper was still determined to use it. "The marks I made on your chains create friction against the damaged floor, making a spark. Look closely at what you're swinging.", Fleur pointed out.
The elf girl was right, as soon as Viper took a hard look at her chain, the sparks were very visible. The witch's hands felt like lava, in her haste, she let go of her chain and began to prepare another spell as Fleur got into position to counter whatever she had in store. Aster watched from his seat, after that last move, is this really a non-lethal fight? He looked anxiously at the two women, what were both of them planning?
